This is the emotional moment when wives of mobilized Russian men – who “hidden under corpses to survive” – traveled close to the front lines to find their retiring husbands and demand that commanders bring them back home from Putin’s war hell.
Up to 70 women had set out on foot from Belgorod for the occupied Luhansk region in search of their husbands after a ‘massacre’ blamed on inept senior officers.
Some women reached out to the men — who were withdrawing from the front lines — and confronted commanders who have so far refused to allow them to leave the war zone.
The women from the Kursk region walked and hitchhiked, some traveling for a week, to accuse army chiefs of abandoning their husbands after “only about 30 men survived” of a group of 200 men.
“We’re not leaving them behind,” a woman is heard to say to an officer in Starobelsk.
“We don’t trust you anymore.”
Not all the men came from the killing zone, some hid in abandoned houses in Golubovka, it was reported.

A woman, Svetlana Gorbatenko (pictured left and right), who is pregnant, said: ‘We have very bad weather. We’re already frozen, and with fog, but we’ll move, we won’t give up’
The women complained to military prosecutors about how a commander named Samvel Yurievich “tied the soldiers’ hands and feet and put weapons on their heads, forced them to go to battle and called them cowards.”
They also said the men were being shelled by their own artillery.
On the reunion with the wives, an officer hears the men with the wives present say, ‘I say again, I have an order to deliver [you] to a meeting point where you will be spoken to.
“You are all soldiers, you should understand and understand that.”
The women tell the officer that they will not leave the men.
“We already sent them away once,” one said.
“Sent them away and look how many came back.
“Look how many are left.”
In recent days, the number of women protesting the war has risen dramatically.

TV Rain reported that the battalion commander “forced those who returned from the shelling to return to battle.”
“The women complained to the military prosecutor’s office, but they were told that their husbands would not be removed.”
A woman named Anna said the men were ‘hiding under the corpses’ [of comrades] so that they would not be found.
“There were many wounded there, they walked through the forest and carried the wounded.”
Earlier, the rebellious women had been seen walking to the front line.
A woman, Svetlana Gorbatenko, who is pregnant, said: ‘We have very bad weather.
“We are already frozen, and with fog, but we will move, we will not give up.”
The men are survivors of an infamous battle near Makiivka, where up to 500 people are said to have died.
