Incredible Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired EIGHT-bedroom Hudson River home that resembles the Avengers headquarters from Marvel movies goes on sale for $25 million
A 14,000-square-foot Hudson River home inspired by architect Frank Lloyd-Wright and resembling the headquarters of the superhero Avengers is on the market for an eye-watering $25 million.
Ledgerock is just steps from the waterfront in Hyde Park, in the Hudson Valley – a two-hour drive north of New York City – and with its glass facade and cantilevered patio, it looks more like a Marvel superhero base than a family home.
The property was built in 2010 by real estate mogul Jacob Frydman and was first put up for sale in 2021 with a price tag of $45 million – before dropping by $20 million this year.
It features eight bedrooms, expansive terraces, a sculpture garden, a helipad, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach and a guesthouse.
Laws usually prohibit building within 100 feet of the water's edge, but pre-existing structures on the property allowed Frydman to build on their footprint, meaning a house like this “could never be built again.”

The Frydmans purchased the property in 2005 for $1.5 million and over time amassed the rest of the 10.7-acre property.
They demolished three existing buildings on the property to build the 15,000-square-foot home for their family.
Frydman told the Wall Street Journal in 2021 that they decided to sell when their children moved because they realized they “didn't need something that big.”
This year, the couple was forced to lower the asking price from $45 million to $25 million.
John Oliveira of Douglas Elliman told Times Union that the new price has been “corrected” and “is where we need to be.”
Inspired by the work of legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Ledgerock is designed to have river views from every room.
A private peninsula with water access offers unobstructed views of the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains.
The outdoor space also includes a sculpture garden, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, an outdoor kitchen, a helipad, a boat dock and a beach.

There are 54 sculptures spread throughout the grounds, including a 3,000-pound lava rock sculpture from Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ledgerock seems more suited to a superhero base than a family home and has drawn comparisons to the fictional Avengers headquarters from the Marvel films.
The house is cantilevered over a terrace to protect it from increasingly common flooding and storm damage.
It is designed to drain all water from the house so that the outside structure is not damaged by the river overflowing its banks.
Mr Frydman told the Journal in 2021 that they had had two storms in 12 years and “it absolutely worked as planned. We haven't had a drop of water in the house.'

The sale comes after the property's owner, Frydman, faced a series of legal battles with his former business partner Eli Verschleiser.
In 2019, Verschleiser accused Frydman of acting “like a rabid dog” and attacking him in an elevator.
He said Frydman “wouldn't let go” of his finger and bit his leg until it bled.
The lawsuit read: “Like a pit bull, Frydman had sunk his teeth deep into Verschleiser's calf for at least three minutes. Like a cruel dog, Frydman would not loosen his teeth.'
The claims followed a lawsuit Frydman filed against Verschleiser in 2018, accusing his ex-business partner of plotting to inject him with psychedelic drugs to make him appear “insane,” then lock him in an elevator and to hit.
The alleged elevator incident followed a tense meeting over a failed business deal for 866 UN Plaza, the New York Post reported at the time.
