Famed California burger chain In-N-Out continues to look to expand overseas, but it’s still a long way from bringing its famous double-double sandwich to the East Coast.
The state of New Mexico, especially the capital Albuquerque, will get a location of the Christian chain by 2026.
In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snynder made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday.
“We are excited to share that we will be fully in the Four Corners serving our New Mexico customers by 2027!”
“It’s an exciting day for our company, the In-N-Out family and our customers. Stay tuned for more details. We look forward to serving quality burgers, fries, and shakes in Albuquerque, NM! #in and out’
Famed California burger chain In-N-Out continues to aim to expand overseas, but it’s still a long way from bringing its famous double-double sandwich to the East Coast
The state of New Mexico, especially the capital Albuquerque, will get a location of the Christian chain by 2026. In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snynder made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday.
The chain experienced strong expansion this year, such as:officials with the California-based fast food chain announced in January their plans to open a headquarters in Tennessee as well as multiple restaurants in 2026.
It’s a change of tune for In-N-Out, whose president once said they had no plans to expand further into the East Coast in her lifetime.
The chain currently has 394 open restaurants, but none are open east of Texas and will remain that way for another two years.
The company’s owner, Lynsi Snyder, said in a 2018 interview with Forbes that she believed putting restaurants in every state would “take some of the shine off of it.”
“I don’t see us spread all over the US, I don’t see us in every state. Take Texas: draw a line up and just stay on the left side. That’s in my lifetime,” Snyder said.
Despite Snyder’s previous statements, the company has now solidified plans to bring a headquarters and multiple locations to the state by 2026, she said.
“We are very excited to provide Tennesseans with our quality burgers, fries and shakes,” said Snyder, the only granddaughter of Harry and Esther Snyder, the company’s founders.
‘Every decision I make, I always take into account what my family would want. I have no doubt that my grandparents, father and uncle would be proud of this decision to expand our Associate family and serve even more fantastic clients, starting in Nashville and the surrounding areas,” the President continued.

Snyder told the Tennessean Nashville is at least one possibility for a location, but it’s too early to announce anything.
“When we’ve opened in new states, we’re overwhelmed with customers, so we generally try to open two in one day when we first enter a state,” she said
“We’ll start with two and probably a third soon,” Snyder continued.
Snyder told the Associated Press that the company could also expand in the region, as deliveries from the Texas warehouse travel through multiple states.
It’s a far cry from the burger joint’s origins in 1948, when it opened as a 10-by-10-foot stand in Baldwin Park, California.
“This expansion is important to our company,” Snyder said.
“For years, we have heard requests from our customers in Tennessee to consider opening locations near them, further east than ever before,” she said, calling customers the company’s “most important asset.”

It was originally founded by Harry and Esther Snyder and is now managed by their granddaughter Lynsi Snyder.
Bible quotes include Mark 3:16 on the bottom of soda cups, while milkshakes are printed with Proverbs 3:5.
If you order a burger or cheeseburger, you get one verse, Revelation 3:20, but if you get a double-double, a double burger, you get another verse, Nahum 1:7.
The practice was started by Lynsi’s uncle Rich Snyder before his death in 1993.
She told me earlier the Christian Post: ‘It was my Uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early 1990s, just before he passed away.
“He had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand. It is a family business and always will be, and that is a family touch.
“In later years I added verses to the fryer, coffee and hot chocolate cups.”
Rich was a born-again Christian philanthropist and is also said to have started every company meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.
According to Forbes, Lynsi has a net worth of $4.2 billion and became a billionaire for the first time in 2017.
