In-isa Shrine location and walkthrough in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In-isa is a sanctuary within The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Great Sky Island region. This is the shrine you visit Merge power and teach you how to use it.

On this page, we’ll help you find the In-isa Shrine location, solve the puzzle solution, and guide you through the “Ability to Combine” trial to collect the chest and create a Light of blessing.

When you’re done, our shrine locations page or interactive Hyrule map can lead you to something else.

In-isa Shrine puzzle walkthrough

1. In the first chamber, Merge one of the boulders for your weapon (we had a thick stick equipped) to make a bat and swing it at the stone barricade to destroy it.

2. Immediately after entering the second room, you will see two stone pillars in the water to your left. Swing your club to the other. This will cause the In-isa Shrine Casket fall to the ground; opening it rewards you with five arrows.

3. Break the rest of the pillars, because lol. (Note: you don’t need to do this. It’s just immensely satisfying.)

4. Before going up the stairs, turn right. Collect all fire fruits from the trees, and take the old wooden bow.

5. Merge one fire fruit with an arrow to make a fire arrow. Aim up. You should see one chest on a wooden platform, surrounded by a bramble of autumn vines. Shoot your flare at the foliage on the wall in front of you, which should cause it – and the platform – to burn, causing the chest to fall to the ground. Open it for one small key.

6. Return to the previous room and open the door on the right (at the top of the stairs) with the small key.

7. Follow the hallway until you reach a room with a Captain Construct, which you must beat. Crafting a flare and shooting it at the foliage beneath the Captain Construct’s (or, uh, propeller) feet will drain most of his health. On the ledge to the left of the entrance you will find spines; Fusing them to your weapons for a boost in damage. Keeping your distance with arrows also helps. You get one Construct arch at victory.

8. The Captain Construct will also drop a stick with a boulder fused to it. Use that stick to smash the stone wall. In the next room, interact with the green sigil to complete the “Ability to Combine” trial and get a Light of blessing.

9. As soon as you leave the sanctuary, a Flight attendant construction will approach you and give you a belt with in it Energy Cells.
