‘Impossible’ Kylian Mbappe leaves PSG for nothing, claims Nasser Al-Khelaifi

Kylian Mbappe has been told it is ‘IMPOSSIBLE’ for him to leave PSG next summer for nothing and he has two weeks to make a decision whether to leave – as chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi plays hard with his star player

Kylian Mbappe has been warned he has two weeks to decide his future as he will not be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain next summer.

Mbappé has made it clear that he will not exercise the option of a contract extension, meaning he will be a free agent next summer.

But PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed leaving his star player for nothing is ‘impossible’ and Mbappe is now on the clock as to whether to stay or go.

“We want him to stay, but he can’t leave for free,” Al-Khelaifi said at the unveiling of new manager Luis Enrique.

“There was a verbal agreement and he had discussed it in an interview. And I was really shocked when I heard that he had decided to leave for free. It’s very disappointing because Mbappé is a fantastic kid, a real gentleman and to leave for free, weaken France’s biggest club, it’s not him. When I heard the news I was shocked and disappointed.’

It seems that Kylian Mbappé is winding down his contract with PSG because he opts for an extension

Mbappé, who was recently partying with Tom Brady in the Hamptons, is angling for a long overdue move to Real Madrid, but both he and the Spanish side would naturally prefer him to leave PSG for free.

If he keeps up his courage against signing a contract extension, he risks PSG taking the highest bidder this summer, putting the player and Real on the clock.

“It will be up to him to decide next week, or at most in the next two weeks,” Al-Khelaifi continued.

And if he doesn’t want to sign a new contract, the door is open.

“So it is for him and everyone else. No one is bigger than the club, no player, not even me. It is very clear.

“By the standards of football, you never see your best player go for free. It’s just not happening.

“We don’t want to let the best player in the world go for free, that’s not possible. PSG is a French club, it’s his city and he has already said he doesn’t want to leave for free.

“If someone made him change his mind today, it’s not my fault.”

The topic put new boss Enrique in the unenviable position of being grilled on how to convince or appease the rowdy star – but he insisted that no final decision has been made yet.

Enrique said, “When I signed, we always stay open. Many things can happen.

“I’ll keep it private because it’s a professional secret. I can’t give confidence, but we will try to make the best possible selection for PSG.’
