Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds finalizes divorce with Aja Volkman as they agree to share custody of four kids… nearly a year after she filed to end marriage
Nearly a year after his wife Aja Volkman filed to end their marriage, Dan Reynolds’ divorce has been finalized.
The Imagine Dragons frontman and his ex-wife cited “irreconcilable differences” as they completed their proceedings on Monday, according to reports People.
They will share joint legal and physical custody of daughters Arrow Eve, 11, Gia James, Coco Rae, both 6, and 4-year-old son Valentine.
Court documents said they “also entered into a new judgment with confidential information” regarding matters including child support, spousal support, property division and attorney fees.
Reynolds tied the knot with Nico Vega’s frontwoman in March 2011.

Although the couple originally announced their separation in 2018, they made amends that year while co-writing the Imagine Dragons song “Bad Liar.”
In late 2019, Reynolds revealed to People that they were “attending marriage counseling” while Volkman was pregnant with Valentine.
“Luckily we worked our way through it,” he explained.
“If that hadn’t been the case for us, there have been a lot of people before us who paved that route and still raised great kids together or became friends or whatever it is. Relationships are complex.’
‘No relationship is perfect. Sometimes it doesn’t work out and that’s okay; sometimes people break up for a while and eventually they decide to get back together and that’s okay,” Reynolds added.
Reynolds announced their separation again in September 2022 in a statement on social media.
“I’m sorry to say that Aja and I have parted ways after many wonderful years together,” he wrote at the time.

Reynolds was romantically linked to actress Minka Kelly in November 2022, when they were spotted holding hands during an outing in Los Angeles.
