Controversial former NFL star Antonio Brown has grilled about why he fired shots at his longtime teammate Tom Brady amid his divorce from Gisele Bundchen – and has been completely unabashed.

In an interview with Patrick Bet-David, Brown was questioned about why he has repeatedly tried to harass Brady with fake images of him with Brady’s now ex-wife on social media.

“I don’t hit his girl, I don’t know his girl,” said Brown, 34, before Bet-David intervened and said, “I’m not going there.”

Brown continued, “People go through divorce every day. What about me? What if I’m in the news and people say I’m crazy?

“It’s just a photo from the Super Bowl. His divorce is his personal life, I have nothing to do with that bro. Many of the things I have said tonight you will never understand.

“How am I going to make you understand if I tell you what I’m thinking and you can figure out what I’m thinking? So you can marginalize what is respect and what is not?’

Bet-David went on to say that Brown’s trolling about Brady “threw me off.” Brown seemed uneasy, but ultimately had no remorse.

“It is what it is,” Brown said. ‘It has nothing to do with the children. I don’t expect you to understand.’

Brady and Bundchen announced their divorce on Friday. The Bucs star said it had been a “difficult” and “painful” decision the couple made after “a lot of consideration”.

Gisele, 42, said: “Ending a marriage is never easy… we have grown apart.” She said she “wishes the best” for Brady, but confirmed the couple had “grown apart.”

“I feel blessed with the time we’ve had together and always wish Tom the best,” she said.

Both said they would continue to co-parent their two children together.

Brady helped Brown with the Bucs in 2020 and arranged for the former wide receiver to move in with him before the start of the season. The quarterback also guaranteed that Brown would be brought to the New England Patriots in 2019.

Brown was released by the Patriots after playing in just one game following allegations of sexual and personal misconduct after he sent threatening messages to women.

Brady and Bundchen confirmed their separation Friday in Instagram statements. She said her priority had “always” been the kids, but said the couple had “grown apart.” In his statement, Brady said the decision was “painful and difficult.”

The duo, who won a Super Bowl in 2021, saw their relationship deteriorate after the mercurial slammed wide-out Brady following his controversial departure from Tampa Bay.

Brown infamously caused a scene during a January 2, 2022 game against the New York Jets, stripping gear and throwing gear before leaving the field. He was subsequently released and has not returned to the NFL since.

After booting from the Bucs, Brown turned on his friend Brady, saying that the NFL quarterback used to be a good friend of his because he was good at football.

“To me, a friend is someone who stands behind you,” Brown said in an earlier interview with the Full Send Podcast. ‘Tom Brady is my friend, why? Because I am a good football player. He needs me to play football. People have different meanings of what friendship is.’

The former Buccaneer recipient explained on the podcast that his friend with Brady was mostly strictly business.

“You can’t really expect someone to be your friend in the football world,” Brown said. ‘In the football business, our business is winning. Brady and I like to win. We have that in common. That’s why I want to be around him, makes us crazy, makes us great.’
