Six-time PGA Tour winner Tony Finau has put an end to speculation that he could be leaving for the riches of LIV Golf, posting an impassioned statement on his Instagram, ending with the unequivocal message: “I'm not leaving!”

Finau had an impressive 2023 season that saw him win the Mexico Open, but like many of his PGA teammates there have been rumors about whether he could be tempted by the Saudi cash at LIV.

However, the Salt Lake City-born star, 34, has shut down these reports, writing on his Instagram, “The 2023 season is in the books! It was a special and incredible season, culminating in a victory at the Mexico Open. It was my 6th victory on the @pgatour.

'Another highlight was reaching the tour championship for the seventh year in a row! As this year comes to an end, I am grateful to be able to play the game I love and have the opportunity to compete at the highest level.

“I'm excited for 2024 and looking forward to playing my 10th season on the PGA Tour! And happy to defend in both Mexico and Houston!

That last hashtag sent fans wild on Monday afternoon and will provide a major boost for the PGA Tour after it lost one of its biggest stars in Rahm last week.

The Spaniard and 2023 Masters champion accepted a $500 million offer from the Saudi-backed tour and will become one of their biggest stars ahead of the 2024 season.

Rahm will play his first tournament under the LIV banner on February 2 in Mayakoba, Mexico, before the players head to Vegas later weekdays for the Super Bowl.
