Gemma said: ‘I’ve never met or talked to him and we don’t follow each other on social media. I’m not dating and I’m definitely single.

‘Just after Christmas, I had much needed time with family and friends and I’m working on myself. I’m not going out anytime soon and I’m not looking.

“On a personal level, I want to work on my happiness and invest time in the people close to me, my family and friends and just be happy with myself.”

Gemma stuns in a new shoot to launch her first collection with online giant PrettyLittleThing, posing in a variety of pieces that accentuate her athletic figure.

She said: ‘I’ve been lucky with my mental health. I haven’t suffered much, obviously you have a strange moment where you don’t feel so positive, but that’s normal. Overall, I feel pretty lucky and my experience has been largely positive.

‘My whole family is very supportive. My mom and dad support me and are proud of everything I do. They have guided me through everything. It has been very helpful having my father to talk to these past few months. I really appreciate him because he knows how things work in this industry.

Her extended family was glued to ITV2 when she starred in Love Island last summer, but Gemma predicts that her father, who was always against her taking part in the dating show, and her extended family will choose not to tune in to the new series.

She added: “My sisters are going to watch the show again, they’re fans of Love Island, but I’m not sure my grandparents are going to watch it this time… it was just once.”

‘The collection are classic looks that represent my style. I feel like these are pieces that can never really go out of style and you can wear them season after season.

“We’ve stuck to neutral earth tones, but we’ve also got a print, which is quite foreign to me, but it’s so beautiful and we were inspired by a Mugler dress I wore to an event a few months back.

“Everyone knows that neutrals are my go-to now, so to do an impression and have that little bit of color was definitely going out of my comfort zone, but I’m very happy with the result.”

Priced from £10 to £38 and sizes from 4 to 30, Gemma says the line can be worn casual or dressy and is suitable for any age, given her mum already has her eye on some of the parts.

She continued, “We’ve added little touches like gold hardware so you can easily dress a few pieces from top to bottom. There are also plenty of co-ordinates and loungewear, which is perfect for this time of year.

We are already working on the next edition, which will be spring/summer, around the races and I would love to shoot in Italy.

“Obviously, I’m very close to my mom, so she’s seen it from the early stages. She has seen the samples and has been involved with the design process and everything. She loves it and there are some gorgeous pieces that have already had their eye on it. You better wear it!
