A Chinese woman living in Britain has gone viral after she gave her verdict on the British version of traditional dishes.

Yinrun Huang, 25, originally from Shanghai, moved to Britain two years ago and decided to try our version of Chinese food for the first time.

After ordering a popular Chinese takeout combo consisting of salt and pepper chips, fried rice, salt and pepper chicken, and sweet and sour shredded beef, she said it wasn’t “authentic Chinese food,” but she seemed excited to try it anyway .

Ms. Huang documented the experience in a TikTok that she posted under moderation @Yinrun_Helloin a video that has since gone viral with more than 2.4 million views.

The content creator explained her decision to film such a video: “I’ve heard a lot about British-Chinese food but I’ve never eaten it because I cook a lot and why buy something I can cook?”

“I was really curious to see what it was like because a lot of people say it’s really good, so I thought I should try it and film it.”

She pointed out that most of the food she ordered would not be found in China, with only fried rice and chow mein being popular in Yinrun’s native country.

The vlogger also noted that prawn crackers, a staple of Chinese takeaways in the UK, can only be found in Thai restaurants in China.

After tasting all the dishes, it appears that she has found a clear favorite, which may come as a surprise to some.

Yinrun said, “Of course it is different from food cooked in China, but I was so curious about the salt and pepper chips because there are no chips in China.

‘I ordered them and they were great. It’s genius to combine the salt and pepper cooking style with fries.’

Aside from her rave reviews of salt and pepper chips, Yinrun has made a name for herself after appearing on the most recent edition of Big Brother.

After being listed by bookmakers as the top contender to win the show after reaching the final, viewers were left furious after she only finished in fourth place, claiming the results were ‘fixed’.

Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best confirmed her eviction and she was punched by Jordan, Olivia and Henry, much to the shock of viewers as they claimed she was ‘robbed’.

The live audience seemed devastated as they heard cheers as her eviction was announced and she said goodbye to her housemates.
