I’m chief concierge at royal favourite Rosewood Hotel – here’s the most extravagant request I’ve ever fulfilled
The head concierge at London’s exclusive Rosewood Hotel has revealed the most extravagant request she has ever received from a guest.
Judith van Der Heijden, head concierge at one of London’s most luxurious hotels in Covent Garden, shared everything in a quick video on TikTok by AJX media.
The five-star hotel, known for welcoming royalty from all over the world, starts at £825 per night for the most basic room.
But the hotel is far from simple, and Judith’s memory of her wildest request yet proves just that.
During the clip, she recalled how Judith received a phone call at 8 a.m. on a Sunday asking her to fill a guest’s private jet with a full menu from Japanese restaurant Nobu, which would leave just four hours later.

“Have you ever tried to get the Nobu chef out of bed at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning?” Judith commented.
But despite the excessive request, Judith successfully met the guest’s needs.
She said: ‘(At) ten past twelve we delivered a full menu from Nobu on a private jet to Luton Airport.’
Judith explained that a great concierge must be “unapologetically curious” with “unlimited imagination” to accommodate such extreme requests.
The elegant hotel, which has previously hosted parties for the Prince and Princess of Wales, is known as a retreat from the capital.
Judith noted that during her stay at the Rosewood, the concierge “is basically your best friend while you travel.”
She went on to explain how her work can transform a trip to the English capital. For example, if a guest wants to visit a tourist attraction such as a museum, she can enhance the experience by arranging a private after-hours viewing with candles and a violinist.
“Top experiences are ones you can’t find anywhere else,” she added.
Judith told viewers that ‘there is really nothing better than being part of a guest’s journey’
Despite having to fulfill far-fetched requests, Judith remains positive about her role.
“There really is nothing better than being part of the journey of a guest who is forever grateful for the experiences you delivered.”
When asked to give a top tip for people wanting to become a hotel concierge, Judith said: ‘Honestly, just be absolutely yourself.
‘There is nothing more beautiful than a concierge who brings out his or her own personality.’
Viewers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the video, and many were impressed with Judith
But for Judith, the top secret to being the best concierge is: ‘The feeling we give our guests. It’s all about those personal touches and getting to know each other.
“It’s about always being one step ahead and hospitality for relationships is the most important part of service.”
Users flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts on Judith’s role at Rosewood. One said: ‘Oh, this is what I live for! Bravissima.’
A second added: ‘Best hotel in London.’
