Owen Warner left fans amazed on Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! as he made a very egregious mistake during the Bushtucker trial.
The Hollyoaks actor, 23, earned an impressive nine out of nine stars when he took on the Boiling Point challenge but kept repeating a certain phrase which led to confusion.
As he dived into various tunnels and chambers full of water and bugs, he kept yelling, “Get me out of here!” Get me out of this room!’
Oh no: Owen Warner left fans amazed on Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! because he made a very confusing mistake during the Bushtucker trial
But typical celebrities shouting, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” want to leave the path and are quickly pulled out and leave without stars.
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly laughed when he first started shouting the phrase after encountering a huge python in one of the rooms.
But as it continued, Ant then yelled, “What did you say?” before a stunned Dec added, “You’re not saying that?!”
Oops: The Hollyoaks actor, 23, took an impressive nine stars out of nine when he took on the Boiling Point challenge, but he kept repeating a certain phrase that led to confusion
Fans took to social media during the episode and were quick to respond to Owen’s mistake.
One tweeted, “Only Owen can accidentally say #ImACeleb get me out of here!”
Another confused fan asked, “Didn’t the celebrity lose all the stars before (including those they’ve already collected) when they yelled ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!’ during the process? If so, why did @ITV change this?’
Wrong: As he dived into various tunnels and chambers full of water and bugs, he kept yelling, “Get me out of here!” Get me out of this room!’
The episode saw the return of the Boiling Point challenge, featuring Owen being the second contestant to participate in the trial in this series to date, after that Chris Moyles was originally called up last week.
Chris, 48, only managed to get just one star in the ordeal last week, with the camp nominating Owen this time to face it, screaming, ‘We’re eating well tonight!’ while afterwards he brought the good news.
The camp was tasked with nominating someone for the returning trial, as Babatúndé Aleshe read a laminate: “Celebrities, today’s trial is called Boiling Point: The Return. It’s up to you to decide which celebrity will participate.’
Normal: But typical celebs yelling “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” want to leave the path and are quickly pulled out and leave without stars
Chris, who struggled with the challenge last week, joked in the Bush Telegraph: “I really wanted to try Boiling Point again because I did it so brilliantly last time… oh no, that’s right, I actually got into panic and ended with a star. That was it.’
While Owen offered himself up when he told his camp mates that he was a strong swimmer and had not experienced any physical ordeal in the series so far.
Matt Hancock was also eager to include it despite going through countless trials so far, but he gave Owen the chance.
Again: The episode saw the return of the Boiling Point challenge, with Owen becoming the second contestant to take part in the trial in this series to date, after Chris Moyles was originally called up last week
Owen confessed to the Bush Telegraph, “I wanted to take on quite a physical challenge. I feel like all of mine just got thrown…I’d like to do something physical.’
Seann Walsh described the actor as “invincible,” as he shared: He’s not afraid of anything. You need someone to do a Trial, look at the abs. When you have the most, go out.”
Owen admitted to having a one-sided mind, saying, “I go in there thinking about food.” With that mentality I think I can do it in less than a minute.’
Shock: As the use of the phrase continued, Ant then yelled, “What did you say?” before a stunned Dec added, “You’re not saying that, are you?”
Arriving at the test site, hosts Ant and Dec asked Owen why he’d chosen to do the Trial, to which the star replied, “Nobody else was really into the Trial to be honest. Chris didn’t sell these to anyone.’
Dec said, “This is the one Chris struggled with. Do you think you can do better?’ as the soap star said he would be fine if he “keeps his cool.”
In typical I’m A Celeb style, Owen wasn’t alone in the process, as he entered a room with two pythons in it and shared, “I didn’t even see that!”
LOL: Fans took to social media during the episode and were quick to respond to Owen’s mistake. One tweeted, “Only Owen can accidentally say #ImACeleb get me out of here!”
Response: Another confused fan asked, “Didn’t the celebrity lose all the stars (including those they’ve already collected) before when they shouted ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!’ during the process? If so, why did @ITV change this?’
In another room with more snakes, Owen said, “Oh hello! Oh my days… Oh stay away from me.’
He finished the trial with a full house of nine stars and time to spare, and triumphantly returned to camp, shouting, “We’re eating well tonight!”
And as the overjoyed camp was filled with glee, Chris said red-faced to the Bush Telegraph, “How bad do I look now, you know? One star / all stars, ran out of time / still had time on the clock.’
Well done! He finished the trial with a full house of nine stars and time to spare, and triumphantly returned to camp, shouting, “We’re eating well tonight!”
Producers were eager to reuse the trial after Chris walked away from camp with only one star earlier in the series.
During the challenge, the broadcaster struggled with his environment, losing both his bag and the keys he used to unscrew the stars.
He had to use the last few minutes of the challenge to retrieve the items, but he was only able to save one of the two stars he collected.
Creepy: In typical I’m A Celeb style, Owen wasn’t alone in the process, as he entered a room with two pythons and spiders in it and shared, “I didn’t even see that!”
