Matt Hancock took another gruesome trial on Sunday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here – marking his fifth in a row.
The former health minister, 44, who has spoken out about his fear of snakes, was confronted by the creatures as well as swarms of flies and an array of animal entrails.
The MP screamed as the snake slid around a bed as it tried to grab one of the stars hiding beneath the reptile.
Bah! Matt Hancock took another gruesome test on Sunday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here – marking his fifth in a row
Matt returned to the nine-star camp after facing his fears during the Bushtucker trial, but admitted he was slightly disappointed that he didn’t make the full 11.
The challenge saw Matt arrive at an eerie dollhouse with four different rooms full of horrors, as he made his way in search of hidden stars.
As Matt set out to take on the final trial, House of Horrors, Scarlette told him, “If you can do the House of Commons, you can do the House of Horrors.”
Oh no! Speaking out about his fear of snakes, the former health minister, 44, was confronted by the creatures as well as swarms of flies and an array of animal entrails
Matt replied, “Come on!”
Arriving at the clearing of the trial, Matt told Ant and Dec: “I had quite the morning when I was stung by a scorpion. It was incredibly painful.’
Dec asked, “So it was a scorpion in the camp?”
Matt replied, “Yes. It was really painful – it still hurts! But they say the smaller scorpions they hurt don’t kill you.’
Horror: Matt returned to the nine-star camp after facing his fears during the Bushtucker trial, but admitted he was slightly disappointed not to take the full 11.
Dec said to Matt, “Fifth trial in a row – why do you think you keep getting voted for?”
Matt replied, “It must be the facial expressions.”
Ant explained the process: “There are four rooms in this gigantic dollhouse. All you have to do Matt is crawl around looking for stars. Every star left in your star bag at the end of time counts as a meal for the camp.’
There were pigeons in the first room. Dec shuddered: ‘Pigeons. I don’t like it Ant, I don’t like it. It’s the ‘flappiness’ that touches me. I don’t like the beaks either.’
Matt walks through the rooms and is confronted by 2.5 million flies. Matt said, “What you don’t know is that this really stinks!”
As he continued, he repeatedly found spiders on the stars and had to rummage through the offal.
In the last room Matt found snakes. He said, ‘Snakes, you know I don’t like snakes. Oh my god, that’s alive!’
When one of the snakes tried to hit Matt, he struggled to get to his next star.
Ant asked, “Did it bite you?”
Matt replied, “No, it didn’t really affect me.”
At the end, it was confirmed that Matt had found 9 of the 11 stars offered.
Matt said, ‘That wasn’t easy [task]… look at those snakes.’
He added: ‘I’m really happy with the one I got off the bed because it had snakes wrapped around it. I just went in very carefully.
‘I’m happy with 9, it’s not quite ‘nailed 11’. It’s enough food for Owen and everyone else.”
When he told everyone the result, Matt said, “Everyone lit up and cheered, it was brilliant.”
Seann in the Bush Telegraph said, “That must have been terrifying for Matt. A snake [at] eye level.’
Matt told the camp, “I was absolutely screwing myself.”
Babatúndé in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘I just have to make him too big man, he’s really going to face any test.’
