Bob McCarron, 72, has never missed a series of the Australia-based ITV game show.

But he will be replaced by another medical expert who will not be on television.
From the show in 2002, Mr McCarron has been the right-hand man of celebrities who walk under the trees through the gates of the camp for two weeks.
The 72-year-old medic did not appear on the show when he moved his camp from Australia to Gwrych Castle in Wales due to Covid restrictions.
Kiosk Keith also did not appear in the Welsh castle, replaced by Kiosk Cledwyn, named after the late politician Cledwyn Hughes.

A fan favorite, Medic Bob has been playing on I’m A Celebrity since it began in 2002, featuring iconic moments such as how he came to the rescue of Gillian McKeith after she passed out and Fatima Whitbread remove a cockroach from her nose.
In 2018, he also removed a cockroach from the ear of Harry Redknapp, who was crowned King Of The Jungle in that series.
The sun has reported that Bob will continue working on the German version of I’m A Celeb instead.
It is also said that he will continue to work on his spin-off show where he will be touring Australia.
A source told the publication that Bob was so busy that “something had to be given” – “Unfortunately, that’s the UK version,” they said.
The source added: “It’s inconceivable to imagine the show without Medic Bob.”
An I’m a Celeb spokesperson said Bob “will always be a friend of the show” and wish him “all the best”, as well as thanking him for “his hard work.”
