Skye Wheatley has claimed she was axed from a hit reality show after making a controversial sex confession years ago.
The 30-year-old influencer revealed she would star in Channel Seven’s reboot of Big Brother in 2022, alongside fan favorites Reggie Bird, Tim Dormer, Tully Smyth and Layla Subritzky.
But she was removed from the season 14 show just weeks after filming after posting an “insensitive” joke on Instagram about her sex life with boyfriend Lachlan Waugh.
“I was supposed to go through with that, but a few weeks before I flew to Sydney to do it, I answered a question on my Instagram: ‘Who is more dominant in the bedroom?'” she said. news.com.au.
‘And I said, “Oh, it depends… When I’m in the mood, I don’t take no for an answer.” But he likes that. He likes it when I say, “Honey, let’s have sex.”

“But everyone said, ‘You’re making him have non-consensual sex.’
Skye, who first shot to fame on Big Brother in 2014, later received an email from the producers telling her she had been axed from the show.
“They said, ‘Hey, we’re not going to continue posting you.’ They wouldn’t tell me the reason, but that had to be the reason,” she added.
‘They didn’t want any bad publicity or anything like that, which was really disappointing. It really broke my heart.’
In 2021, Skye joked during a Q&A with fans that she demands sex from Lachlan even when he isn’t in the mood.

When asked who is more dominant in bed, Skye replied: ‘Hahahahaha me… but only when he’s mad and says he doesn’t want sex.’
“Hahahahaha, no one says no…I don’t take no for an answer when I want sexy time,” she added.
The reality star’s comments clearly upset some of her fans, as she returned to the platform less than 24 hours later to issue a groveling apology.
The mother-of-two apologized for her “insensitive, stinging” words and vowed to think twice before making similar jokes in the future.
“Hey guys, I just wanted to go ahead and address one of my comments I made last night on my Q&A and my poor choice of wording. Lachlan and I have a healthy, balanced sex life,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

Skye expressed her regret over her ‘poor choice of words’ and clarified that neither she nor Lachlan had ever forced or manipulated each other into sex.
“I understand that my words were completely insensitive and triggering and for that I am truly, deeply sorry. “I’m ashamed that I posted this without even thinking about the effect it could have on my followers,” she said.

The Gold Coast influencer concluded her post by promising she wouldn’t be so “impulsive” when communicating with her general audience.
“I take full responsibility and am 100 percent committed to ensuring that I take steps forward to make better decisions about what I say in the future,” she wrote.
Skye and Lachlan met in 2017 after a match on Tinder.
They welcomed their first child, a son named Forest, in December 2018, and a second son, Bear, was born on April 23.
