oh oh; Saturday night’s I’m A Celebrity saw Matt Hancock and Owen Warner covered in feathers, brown sauce and custard as they took part in the final trial, Who Wants To Look Silly On Air

After being voted to do every trial since his arrival in the jungle earlier this week, disgraced former health secretary Matt joked that it was “the most predictable outcome” as his name was read alongside Owen’s.

Then he added: ‘It’s called looking crazy in the sky, then it’s me!’

While Owen stated in the Bush Telegraph, “This here, you’re looking at the dream team.”

When they took up their challenge, Ant McPartlin explained to them, ‘This is the jungle version of the legendary TV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

oh dear! During the task, however, their fellow campmates – who went to the clearing of the trial to watch the action – were reprimanded by hosts Ant and Dec for cheating on a question

“Now I’m afraid for you two, there’s no money up for grabs today. But there are 11 stars. We are going to ask you six multiple choice questions.

“You have 60 seconds each time to give us your final answer. The first question is worth one star, the rest of the questions from then on are worth two stars each. Every star you gain is worth a meal for the camp.

“Just like the real show, the audience can’t help until you’re called up.”

Declan Donnelly then added: “You do have some lifelines… [including] Ask the hosts.’

And after clocking the politician’s expression, he laughed, “Don’t look so shocked Matt,” with Ant quickly joking, “I wouldn’t necessarily be in a rush to use those!”

The process started well for Matt and Owen, who, after asking hosts Ant and Dec for help, correctly answered Gary Oldman when asked, “Who played Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movies?”

Though the two were also doused in brown sauce as they deliberated their answer.

Things went downhill after that, as when they used their ‘Ask The Audience’ option, their fellow camp mates failed to win stars after failing to guess which Australian city the Hemsworth brothers were born in.

Then, when the duo tried to figure out who hadn’t won a Sports Personality Award, Owen started turning in the direction of Michael Owen.

But the camp mates then started coughing and making noises, with Ant and Dec quickly stopping the process.

Not cool! Dec, who chided their shady actions, said: ‘We’re going to stop there because there was an audience that cheated at the time…so we’ll have to accept your answer from C Michael Owen’

Narrated: Responding to the groans of the hapless crowd, he snapped, ‘It was your last answer while you were all coughing! Those were the rules guys!’ before revealing that the answer was in fact incorrect

During the trial, Matt and Owen also appealed to Sue Cleaver for their ‘Phone A Friend’, with the Coronation Street actress correctly telling them what year the ITV soap started – although she was drenched in her efforts.

As the duo persisted in Who Wants To Look Silly On Air, they were covered in a plethora of slimy substances as they battled to win a respectable five out of eleven stars.

But despite their best efforts, Owen wasn’t happy with his performance when he moaned, “I’m not happy man, I’m covered in all kinds and we only have 5 stars… he [Matt] did well until you got me on his team.’

He later reflected on the trial in the Bush Telegraph, which left the actor — who has baffled camp mates with his jungle blunders — feeling dejected.

Owen said, “I feel very disappointed, very deflated. I’m not the smartest out there, and that’s probably why I had to.

“I feel a little horrified… I feel really tense that I’ve let the camp mates down a bit.”
