Furious fans of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! have accused bosses of “fixing” the show’s Bushtucker Trial result, after Matt Hancock’s run of six trials came to an abrupt end.
The former health minister was quickly voted by the public to face a series of challenges when he entered camp last week.
But it was revealed on Monday that Boy George, Chris Moyles and Babatunde Aleshe had been chosen for the final trial, with many commenting that it was suspicious that Matt was abruptly no longer viewers’ first choice.
That is not true! Fans of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here have accused bosses of ‘fixing’ the show’s Bushtucker Trial result after Matt Hancock’s run of six trials came to an abrupt end
George, Chris and Babatunde were chosen for Tuesday’s trial, dubbed Angel Of Agony, only managing to win three stars out of a possible 11.
The fact that Matt was not one of the three celebrities who voted to take on the challenge, when he had already been the top choice five times beforehand, immediately caught the attention of viewers.
One tweeted, “You’re telling me the same audience is voting for Matt Hancock to do trials (least popular) AND camp leader (most popular)?? I smell an ITV fix for desperate ratings.”
What is happening? Viewers couldn’t hide their suspicions when Boy George, Babtunde Aleshe and Chris Moyles were chosen to take on Tuesday’s challenge
How strange! The fact that Matt was not one of the three celebrities who voted to take on the challenge, when he had already been the top choice five times beforehand, immediately caught the attention of viewers.
Another added: ‘@ITV will set the vote again tonight so don’t bother voting guys it’ll be Matt on the next trial.’
A third tweeted, “I can’t believe three of them got more votes than Matt to do the trial. Definitely a solution.’
One also posted, “So Hancock gets voted into trials for days. Suddenly he is no longer in the top 3!! Do not buy.’
One fan also tweeted, ‘@MattHancock actually thinks he’s awesome and has been accepted. I don’t believe for a second that he wasn’t voted by the public to do another trial. @ITV is all playing with it.”

Again? Fans continued their claims the following night, when hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed that Chris had been voted to the next lawsuit, Boiling Point.

One viewer added, “Everyone: Sick of Matt doing trials. Everyone: Clearly Matt isn’t doing them anymore.’
‘Absolute solution! No way, handcock isn’t the most voted!’ added a second, while a third posted: ‘Babatunde exempt in case he fails miserably again!!! To repair.’
Response: They again took to social media to share their thoughts, claiming it was odd that Matt wasn’t chosen
However, one fan was quick to notice that many viewers had been complaining about Matt being voted into every trial, so it was no surprise that they were tired of him.
They wrote, “People have been complaining for the last few days that Matt Hancock keeps getting voted for. If he doesn’t, they say it’s a solution, make up your mind!’
Elsewhere on Tuesday’s show, Boy George has admitted that he finds it difficult to deal with politician Matt Hancock in the jungle.
“Come to a decision!” However, one fan was quick to notice that many viewers had been complaining about Matt being voted into every trial, so it was no surprise that they were tired of him
Speaking to camp mate Sue Cleaver in a private chat during Tuesday’s show, the singer said he finds Matt, 44, “very hard to warm up to.”
“I find him very hard to warm to,” Boy George began.
“I feel connected to everyone else in a kind of… without needing to know who you are,” he said.
Sue said it’s because Matt is in the jungle surrounded by “creative” types.
“You have an economist in a camp with a lot of creatives,” she began.
‘I find him very hard to warm to’: Elsewhere in the episode, Boy George punched Matt while talking to Sue Cleaver
“He’s all math, he’s using a different side of his brain. Do you know what I mean?’ she added.
At the end of the episode Chris was voted to do his second Bushtucker Trial as it had been announced that he had been voted by the public to do Boiling Point.
Chris looked gutted and was comforted by his fellow campmates when Ant and Dec revealed that he would “reach boiling point” in the final court case.
Meanwhile, Matt and the rest of the housemates all looked shocked when he managed to escape the trial.
I’m a celebrity, get me out of here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
“Anyone I feel connected to in some sort…without having to know the ins and outs of who you are,” Boy George said of Matt
