I’m A Celebrity Australia stars vow NOT to indulge in naked jungle showers… apart from one very surprising contestant
I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! Australia has so far seen 12 celebrities descend on the South African jungle to compete to be crowned the 2024 winner.
And the latest round of celebrities taking on the grueling challenge have revealed whether they will take part in a specific tradition of the show.
The stars wondered whether they would consider stripping naked in the outdoor shower, with one surprise celebrity admitting they would be open to the idea.
Last year, stars including Domenica Calarco, Aesha Scott, Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson and Harry Garside stripped off to hop in the shower in scenes aired on the Ten reality TV show.
However, it looks like the cast of 2024 won’t be following in their footsteps as they have vowed to boycott the nude jungle shower tradition.
The cast of 2024’s I’m A Celebrity Australia have revealed whether they will strip naked in the outdoor shower, with a surprise celebrity admitting they would be open to it
Speaking before entering the jungle, influencer Skye said news.com.au: ‘No way (will I shower naked), my partner said: ‘You’re a mother!’
‘I will definitely only shower in a bikini. I don’t think people need to see that. I keep my bits to myself.”
Retired ironwoman Candice, 39, agreed and insisted she would be comfortable in a swimsuit while showering on the TV show.
Former Studio 10 presenter Tristan, 41, seemed more open to the idea, before admitting he doesn’t even feel comfortable showering at home when his own children are in the bathroom.
But Denise Drysdale, 75 – who entered the camp as an intruder on Monday – was the only celebrity to reveal she might strip down as she had become used to outdoor showers while living in a caravan.
Participants, including Skye Wheatley, admitted they had no plans to shower naked in the jungle and planned to stay covered
However, 75-year-old Denise Drysdale – who entered the camp as an intruder on Monday – was the only celebrity to reveal she would consider stripping off.
“When I built a house, we had a trailer we lived in with an outdoor shower,” she said.
‘All the squiggly worms came out of the shower and the first night was horrible, but by the third night I had named them all.’
“But if anyone can see me naked, I’ll probably scream, ‘I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here,'” she joked.
Last year, a slew of celebrities were seen stripping completely naked to shower during the show as they didn’t shy away from baring all for the cameras.
Last year, stars including Domenica Calarco, Aesha Scott, Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson and Harry Garside stripped off to hop in the shower in scenes aired on reality TV show Ten.
Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco later revealed that each contestant had stripped naked at some point to hop in the shower.
“Everyone has their birthday suit, mine happened to be in the jungle,” she told news.com.au at the time.
‘I only showered three or four times in the end, but I took off my shirt and changed in front of everyone in camp. You just become so nonchalant.”
She also told how her co-star Peter Helliar had showered naked before deciding to cover up when he realized the scenes were going to be aired.

Their campmate Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson also gave insight into the protocol they had for nude showers in the jungle.
He explained how they would use their microphone packs and akubra hats as a signal to let the other stars know the shower was occupied.
‘If you leave your akubra upside down with your microphone in it, at the point where you go down to go to the showers, it means that person is in the shower and you are not allowed in there. That was the code,” he said.
