Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed there will be two additional arrivals at the I’m A Celebrity camp and spotting Tory MP Matt Hancock, expected to be one of them, as the show kicked off Sunday night.

Emphasizing the word “matte,” Dec added, “You’ll be surprised, guys. Soon we will roll out the welcome mat for them.’

Former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt was spotted in Australia earlier this week after it was revealed he would make a controversial appearance on the show.

Jokers: Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have confirmed there will be two additional arrivals at the I’m A Celebrity camp and poked fun at Tory MP Matt Hancock, expected to be one of them, as the show launched on Sunday night

On Sunday, Chris Moyles arrived as the first star in a luxurious black Rolls Royce. The star admitted he hoped to endear himself to the public, saying: “People will be so happy to see Chris Moyles.

“They’re going to say, ‘Wow, he’s so much cuter than I thought he would be. He’s not an asshole.'”

Following Chris’ lead was former Love Island star Olivia Attwood. She said, “I think in reality TV people in general there’s an idea that we’re missing in the brain department and I’m going to confirm that.”

Speaking of the show’s rigors, she said, “My nerves aren’t exactly trial-based. They live more with other people, but I’ve gotten used to that on Love Island… I guess the shower and toilet stuff doesn’t really put me off! Every time I go out, I pee in the garden.’

Charlene White was the third star to appear on the show. The ITV newsreader and anchor of Loose Women said: ‘Of all the shows I said I’d never do, I’m A Celeb was definitely one of those…

‘How do I think I’m going to make it? I’m not an outdoors person.’

Charlene has previously said she couldn’t help but cry on the show as she struggles with the harsh jungle living conditions.

The fourth celebrity to appear on screens was former English footballer Jill Scott. The Lionesses’ star said on arrival: “My biggest achievement was winning the European Championship against Germany. 90,000 people at Wembley. The best day of my life. My next step is into the jungle, which I am very excited about.

Comedian actor Babatunde Aleshe was the fifth star to enter and met the rest of the celebrities in a lavish villa: “I don’t like rats at all. I once had a hamster and I was really afraid of that.’

‘Can I camp? No! I’m not that crazy. Do I have survival skills? Yes! I am from Tottenham. We run.

‘I’m afraid of everything. Rats, spiders, snakes and on top of that frogs… Have you ever seen a toad?! Toads are huge! This is Australia, man. They have animals they haven’t even discovered yet.’

The group was greeted by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who expressed their excitement after being back in Australia for two years after being held in Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The duo explained that the stars would not go into the jungle together, with one of the stars being named a Jungle VIP – Olivia was voted for the role by the public.

She could choose one of her fellow contestants to join her for a VIP meal at the villa, while Olivia chose radio DJ Chris.

The rest of the group was told that they would leave the villa and that they would have to earn their food on the way to their camp.

Chris said, “I think VIP realistically means we get a plate of fruit and then we’re going to do something that scares the living.”

Ant and Dec explained that VIP actually means Very Isolated Person.

Olivia told Chris why she chose him as her VIP: “I know you have a good sense of humor and of course we’re going to spend some time together so we can laugh.”

Jill, Babtunde and Charlene were then seen in a helicopter flying over the Pacific Ocean to a 32-story high-rise block of flats to participate in the infamous ‘Walk The Plank’ challenge.

They were told that there were three stars to collect that they could exchange for meals and that they had to walk to the end of the plank, let go of the rope they were tied with and they would win their meals for the camp.

As Charlene walked quickly to the end of the plank, which was quickly removed so she couldn’t turn back, Babatunde had to fight his instincts to convince herself to take small steps forward.

The comedian couldn’t get to the end and yelled ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ and backed up to the roof of the building to get back to safety.

Jill was able to complete the task quickly and marched to the end of the plank without a second guess.

Both Charlene and Jill then had to stand on a ramp at the end of the plank and lean forward to look over the edge while clinging to a wire behind them.

To complete the task, both Jill and Charlene had to let go of the rope and launch themselves off the end of the plank, where they hung in the air by a wire.

After enjoying their sumptuous meal together at the villa, Olivia and Chris made their way to the helicopter to skydive over the water off the coast of the town of Surfers Paradise, Queensland and onto a sandy beach.

After jumping out of the plane from 10,000 feet and screaming all the way to the bottom, Olivia excitedly declared, “That was the most incredible experience of my life! I am crying!’

Now that Olivia’s VIP friend Chris has landed safely on the beach, and the couple have no idea where they were, the following five celebrities were welcomed to the show.

Singer Boy George said he’s perfect for the show because he’s a “natural born show-off” before being joined by Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver.

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner was then seen by boat after saying his worst nightmare in the jungle would be an encounter with snakes.

A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas then made an entrance, saying she will be bringing her excellent cooking skills to jungle camp to contribute.

The final of the second lottery of five celebrities who arrived was former rugby player Mike Tindall, who advised his fellow candidates to ‘don’t choose fear’ when taking part in the grueling jungle tasks.

George was chosen as the VIP for this group, with the performer choosing to join Scarlette for a meal on a luxury yacht.
