Former President Donald Trump rolled out a possible new campaign slogan Saturday night at the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C.: “I’m being sued for you.”
Trump headlined the conference’s Saturday night gala and continued to lament the recent federal charges brought against him for mishandling classified materials, again arguing that he was just an ex-president who “legally kept his own documents ‘.
He earned a “USA” chant from the crowd when he proclaimed, “I’m probably the only person in history to be charged and my numbers went up.”
“Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, Communists and Fascists sue me, I take it as a great show of courage,” Trump said.
Trump knocked on President Joe Biden’s door about son Hunter’s business dealings with China – portraying the president as soft-spoken towards the rising power over his family’s financial entanglements.

Trump received by far the most enthusiastic response at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference in Washington, DC. The former president headlined a Saturday night gala at the Washington Hilton
“Joe Biden is by far the most corrupt president in our country’s history,” he said.
“Just two days ago, a highly respected IRS whistleblower revealed that Crooked Joe was sitting in a room while his son, Hunter, was sending a message to a Chinese Communist Party official,” the former president continued.
Trump then read the crowd a text from Hunter to a Chinese business associate.
In the text, Hunter says he is with his father and then tells the employee, “and we would like to know why the agreement that was made was not kept.”
“This is cash he’s talking about,” Trump told the crowd about the “commitment.” “Within ten days, the Bidens received $5.1 million from China.”
‘Can you believe it? I didn’t know he was that tough,” Trump said of Hunter, laughing.
Trump then claimed that Biden “wants to do nothing because he can’t” to China that wants to build a troop training facility in Cuba, adding that nothing can be done, “unless I get back in.”
“In that case, I will let China know they have 48 hours to get military and spy equipment out of Cuba, or I will drop the hammer and there will be tariffs like China has never seen before,” Trump said.
Trump was easily the favorite speaker at the conference — where every major 2024 Republican presidential nominee was in attendance.
“I have to ask Ralph a question, were your other candidates treated like this?” Trump said, addressing Faith & Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed, who sat behind him onstage and cheered the audience.
Trump then joked that a presidential candidate was “booed off stage,” referring to New Jersey Governor Chris Chrstie, whose Trump criticisms at conference Friday morning harassed him.
The former president teased a second-term agenda.
He got a lot of cheers when he promised to “wipe out the deep state.”
Trump said he would create “the Truth and Reconciliation Commission” that would declassify all documents related to the so-called “deep state” and track down “espionage.”
“I will order a completely overhauled DOJ to investigate every radical prosecutor in America,” he continued, complaining about Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg – who charged him with crimes related to Stormy Daniels’ hush money scheme from 2016.
