I’m an ex-Apple employee – here’s what we thought of people based on what devices they bought

Apple employees are far less impressed with the tech giant’s latest and greatest, at least according to one former Apple employee on TikTok.

The Los Angeles-based former sales professional went through a list of potential Apple hardware purchases — and revealed in spicy, “no holds barred” detail what knowledgeable employees thought about their overly infatuated customers.

“There were two types of people who bought the latest iPhone Pro,” the former sales professional said.

“Those who were either part of the promotion program or people who were completely sold out by the marketing.”

“It’s like you’d enjoy giving Tim Cook your money,” the former Apple employee said. “Give it to a charity.”

Apple employees are far less impressed with the tech giant’s latest and greatest, at least according to former Apple employee Tyler Morgan on TikTok. “It’s like if you enjoy giving Tim Cook your money, give it to charity,” the former Apple employee said.

Former Apple sales professional Tyler Morgan, who goes by @hitomidocameraroll on TikTok, has built a following of hundreds of thousands of followers on the platform for his tough advice on the company’s technology.

He devoted much of his criticism to Apple’s latest two iPhone models, the 14 and 15, calling the launch of the latter “probably the most disappointing event I’ve ever seen.”

However, more recently, he has focused his attention on the entire gamut of Apple devices and the social psychology of those who buy them.

When it comes to people who will buy an iPhone 14 or 15, Morgan said, “Both are stupid,” whether they take advantage of the upgrade program or not.

The latest iPhones are an emblem for reckless Apple consumers who think, as he put it, “yes.” It’s the best, because you told me it’s the best.

“Those who just came in, they knew what they wanted, and they got 13: the best kinds of people,” Morgan said.

“There were a lot of iPad buyers, and they were always the same type of people,” he recalls. They were trying to turn an iPad into a computer.

“It’s not a damn computer.”

Apple employees, to judge by Morgan’s calculations, are particularly puzzled by those customers (usually college students) who buy the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Apple’s Magic Keyboard, and Apple’s Pencil — spending more money for the benefit less.

The total price of the three separate devices reaches $1,730.82 in some states, compared to the more functional MacBook Air for just $1,207.41.

“At that point, you should (buy a plane).” “It’s not a computer, it’s a MacBook,” he said.

When it comes to people who will buy the iPhone 14 or 15, Morgan said “both are stupid,” whether they take advantage of the upgrade program or not.

There are two ways in which people choose to sit in a chair with their legs crossed, either at the knee or at the ankles. Although sitting cross-legged may be comfortable, it can have some negative effects on the body — from increasing blood pressure to affecting sperm count.

Hoping that the company’s most obsessive and dedicated fans will listen to reason, the former Apple sales specialist has made some time to woo luxury buyers for the $800 Apple Watch Ultra.

It may have double the battery, but will you be charging it at the same time every night? Yes, you’re right.’

When Apple announced the Apple Watch Ultra, its pitch was a newer, more powerful type of smartwatch for “extreme athletes.”

The Apple Watch Ultra features a titanium case that wraps around the screen and an “action button” that works even when the user is wearing gloves.

“What are you going to do with your action button?” Morgan taunted the Ultra agents. “Make it a flashlight?”

According to the Cupertino-based tech company, the Apple Watch Ultra can withstand temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit or those that rise above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and has a new, advanced map to help explorers stay on their way — sporting glamorous features that probably only represent… Simple part. Wealthy buyers of the device may use it.

Perhaps the most confused Apple consumers, at least according to this former sales professional, are those who bought the AirPods Max.

The $562 high-end headphones appear to have been paid for in cash only by quiet figures who quickly left.

“It gave me a kind of superficial vibe,” he said. “I just came in and bought the most expensive headphones on the market today like it was nothing.”
