In the clip, which has been viewed more than 43,000 times so far, Courtney begins: ‘I literally beg the brides I speak to to remember this tip.

“If you’re planning a shower, party, wedding reception or whatever, please listen, because this will save you so much stress and keep you from having to put out fires at the last minute.”

She continued, “If you buy all your decorations – and basically everything – number one, take the price tags off because you’re going to get a manicure the week before your wedding and you’ll ruin your nails.

‘This is where the most important part comes into play. Remove everything from the packaging. Don’t wait until the week before or when you’re actually building everything to take things out of the package.”

She explained that she ordered fifty white lanterns to hang on her wedding tent during the reception and “waited until the day or night before” to open the package.

Courtney discovered too late that the fixtures did not have metal parts to hold the lanterns open and were therefore unusable.

“SOS open everything as soon as you get it and remove all price tags,” the content creator concluded.
