Bernese Mountain Dogs are ideal for colder temperatures because they were originally bred as working dogs in their native Switzerland.
The breed is strong and athletic, and many use the dogs on farms to herd livestock or pull heavy loads through remote areas.
Bernese Mountain Dogs have a short lifespan and live an average of six to eight years.
An animal expert also revealed that the breed is a type of ‘Velcro dog’.
“Bernese Mountain Dogs love being close to their owners and can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for too long,” he said in a video.
“They are the perfect family dogs, my two year old Bernese is great with my daughter,” said one father.

Many shared their adoration for the beloved pets.
“My favorite breed,” said one. ‘There’s nothing cuter than a Bernese puppy.’
“I live in a snowy region and they are so perfect – such sweet and gentle dogs,” said another.
“I’ve had two Bernese dogs, I love them more than anything,” said a third. “I wish they lived longer.”
