I’m a UFO researcher… here are the chilling cases I came across of alien craft meddling with nuclear weapons

A veteran UFO researcher has claimed that UFOs have been visiting US nuclear weapons sites since the dawn of the atomic age – and he believes these invaders may have the power to ‘neutralize’ such weapons.

Robert Spearing is an investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), which has 700 investigators in the US and is one of the oldest UFO organizations in the world, having collected evidence of suspected alien encounters since the 1960s.

Spearing said that in MUFON’s files – and the organization has nearly 137,000 reports of UFO encounters from the US and around the world – there are multiple instances of claims of alien visitors hovering over nuclear bases and nuclear-armed ships.

“There is ample evidence that visitors have the ability to neutralize their use,” Spearing told DailyMail.com.

“The question is whether it is for defensive or offensive purposes,” Spearing said. “It’s either to save us from ourselves, or to allow them to destroy us if necessary.”

When former Pentagon counterintelligence official Luis Elizondo resurfaced this summer, the veteran UFO hunter advanced an equally bleak theory: The dozens of UFOs sighted near nuclear bases since 1945 could be scouts for a possible invasion.

Spearing has personally investigated one sighting from the Vietnam War, which he says shows at least a clear “link” between UFOs and nuclear sites.

Whether their intentions were for good or bad, as he told DailyMail.com, “All kinds of things came out of the South China Sea during the war as well.”

January 15, 1973 – South China Sea

“I enjoy the Vietnam stuff the most,” Spearing said.

“This particular meeting took place when, in theory, no one knew that the United States had nuclear weapons in close proximity to China and Vietnam,” he said. the MUFON directorwho previously worked as a railroad forensic investigator as part of the New York Port Authority.

“But,” Spearing added, “somebody knew.”

A witness aboard the ammunition ship USS Mauna Kea reported seeing a strange ball of pulsating light coming from the sea while the man was loading nuclear missiles onto the USS Oklahoma City.

He described the encounter in his report as a “floating, pulsating spherical color, similar to a large beach ball hovering approximately 30 to 50 feet above the water, traveling at a speed of approximately 16 to 18 knots.”

“I could see the reflection in the water,” the witness continued, “I could see clearly without a wake.”

When the encounter took place, the man was loading nuclear weapons with a forklift.

“This sighting occurred in the South China Sea, off the port side,” he said. ‘Our ship was a ammunition ship with nuclear weapons on board. It felt like we were being investigated.”

Spearing interviewed the witness himself and said the man “felt chills and felt like he was being observed.”

The orb was the size of a car and was visible up close for about ten minutes, between two and four in the morning.

When the witness checked the radar room, no one had recorded images of the object.

Spearing described the encounter as “highly suspicious” and said: “There is of course the possibility that it was a plasma ball, like ball lightning, that was carried along by being magnetically coupled (attracted) to the ship’s hull.”

‘However, the observation period is too long for ball lightning and ball lightning would have attracted (further) into the hull and exploded.’

May 1960 – Mountainside, New Jersey

A witness approached MUFON about a grisly encounter in 1960 near a nuclear base in New Jersey.

The witness told MUFON investigators that a group of young children and teenagers saw a formation of silver disks floating near a nuclear base as they left their homes at dusk.

The base in the Watchung Mountains housed Nike Ajax missiles designed to shoot down incoming bombers – the project experimented with nuclear-tipped missiles before shifting focus to ICBMs rather than nuclear bombers.

The children knew that there was a base in the area and therefore had done a lot of safety drills at school, making it easy to determine that these mysterious disks were floating above the base.

In 1957, during the Cold War, the U.S. military declared it would build a Nike missile base on the Watchung Reservation.

“I know this was a long time ago,” the witness said, “but…as we left the forest above our homes, we were shocked to see a perfect V formation of five solid, dull silver disks floating above us. No sound. No movement.’

‘After about five minutes they headed west without making any noise. “The location we were at is on the edge of the ‘first mountain,’ just west of New York City,” the witness told Spearing.

“Directly above us, about a mile, at the top of the mountain was a deeply buried nuclear anti-ballistic missile in a military outpost in the Watchung Mountains that was part of New York’s defense system,” the source continued.

“As we talked about it, we realized that it looked like these disks were floating above the warhead site. I’ve never forgotten it.’

MUFON closed the case (which had never before been reported in the mainstream media) and classified the oddity as an ‘unknown UAP’.

Early 1974 – Vietnam

While investigating the first encounter in Vietnam, Spearing came across another eerie account of an orb visiting another nuclear-armed ship.

The witness said they were in a group with a destroyer and an aircraft carrier, the USS Mason, when they saw an incredible craft emerge from the water.

“We looked at the USS Mason in front of us and the glowing trail of the ocean that shot up through the phosphorous algae in the water as the ocean lit up in front of us started to glow,” the witness said in amazement.

“It got brighter and brighter and then this very bright orange/yellow ball came out of the water on the right starboard side of the destroyer.”

“It flew over the top of the destroyer and went back into the ocean on the port side, with the same glowing ocean water, and then disappeared,” this Navy source continued. “We all stared at each other with our mouths open.”

“We couldn’t believe what we were seeing, but I asked friends of mine who were keeping watch on the bridge if they saw it,” he noted, “and they all did.”

The witness said the object was up to 200 feet in diameter – and that the destroyer’s officers must have had a “close look” at it, although nothing was ever officially recorded.

What does it all mean?

Retired US Air Force Sergeant, Larry Hancockto whom contributed a series of studies on the link between UFOs and nuclear weapons, the Scientific Coalition of UAP Studies (SCU) believes that the sheer frequency of these events provides solid evidence.

Solid military and police cases from 1945 to 1975, Hancock told DailyMail.com this year, appear to point to a deliberate study of America’s most sensitive weapons.

“I mean, focus implies intention,” he said. ‘And focus obviously implies intelligence.’

“The way it evolved from one type of facility to another – I mean it starts with factories, moves on through assembly plants, warehousing and deployment, it’s hard to read that as anything other than someone with an agenda,” said Hancock.

Hancock’s research partner, Ian Porritt, went even further: “They may have a better understanding of the future, our future, than we do.”
