Restaurant workers have revealed the ‘wildest’ requests they’ve received from customers.
A bizarre order came from a man who preferred his steak mixed into a smoothie, according to a viral Reddit thread.
Another waiter was speechless when a man turned down a glass of water, remarking that he was ‘trying to stop’.
Restaurant workers from around the world gathered to reminisce about the “crazy” demands they’d received from customers over the years — with some odd requests still haunting them decades later.
Several of the odd requests focused on wanting food to be served in a non-traditional way, such as hot tiramisu or chilled red wine.
Other demands were even more bizarre, with a server revealing that a customer once asked him for an entire bottle of fish sauce with a meal.

Many shared strange stories of customers requesting that certain foods be removed from a meal.
“When I was cooking in the military, someone asked for a BLT sandwich, but no bacon or tomato,” one man recalled. “He wasn’t kidding, he just wanted bread and lettuce.”
A second revealed, “Let’s have a dude order a big garden salad, looked me in the eye and said very seriously, ‘No purple in it.’ I finally picked something purple out of it and watched him very nervously as he picked through it. He was satisfied enough and left a decent tip.’
“A man came in alone and demanded we mix his starter, main and dessert,” one woman wrote. “He ordered a steak.”
“Some people want ranch dressing with everything,” said another. With $60 steak, soup, spaghetti — you name it. Someone will want a farm.’
An American Olive Garden employee said, “There was a regular customer we called ‘pepperoncini lady’ because she wanted us to open a new bag of the pepperoncini we used in the salads and pour the juice into a cup.
She drank the juice right away. She’d also get a bowl of pepperoncini and just eat it.’

While others had to deal with strange behavior at the table.
“I had a couple tell me to wait before prepping their table so the guy could lick each plate clean first. They had several starters and mains between them and he licked them all clean before I was allowed to take it,” one woman wrote.
A server shared an anecdote about a man who wanted to “quit” drinking water.
“The place I worked had small water cups on the table and we kept them filled for customers. I sat with a group of two women (who said they were waiting for a third person) and went to fill their water cups,” said one woman.
“When I asked if I should fill the third person or wait for the third person to arrive, a woman said, ‘Oh, you don’t have to, he’s trying to stop.’
“I thought it was a joke, and when the third person (a man) got there, I went to fill his water. He told me not to fill it because it tried to stop with water.’
A man revealed that a couple once asked him to do their new baby’s gender reveal.
‘I’ve never met them, but apparently they loved Chili’s. They went to the doctor and had the results put in an envelope. I then had to read them the results while they ate dessert. It was a boy.’
