I’m a professional cleaner – this is the one product you should never use in your car

A professional cleaner has named the one product she never uses on her car dashboard.

Kacie, who runs The Big Clean Co in Melbourne, has sworn off using microfibre cloths because they ‘leave lint on everything’.

Instead, she opts for waffle-weave cloths from For All Australia, which are designed with square stitching and grooves to “trap dirt and absorb liquid without leaving lint or residue.”

“This is why we don’t use these fluffy microfiber cloths; they leave lint everywhere,” Kacie said.

Kacie then picked up the waffle weave cloth and wiped the surface picking up any remaining stains.

‘This is dry dusting, so I don’t use any products on this. I wipe everything. As you can see, nothing is left,” she said.

“This is why you don’t cut it,” one fan commented. “Those microfiber cloths are a sensory nightmare.”

Others disagreed.

“I don’t have any problems with them – put them in the dryer and the lint is gone,” one person added.

‘I’ve never had that problem with my microfiber cloths. Wash first and nothing will be left behind,” said another.

Kacie also said it’s important to wash the cloths separately from the rest of the laundry, as this can lead to pilling.
