One of Australia’s top young chefs has revealed the secret menu item she gets at McDonald’s where she can get the best takeaway nuggets of all time.

Kimberly Tang, 27, confessed that she regularly goes to McDonald’s despite spending her evenings cooking up a storm at Chatswood’s Chef’s Table.

Speak with Good food she confessed that she likes to order a double cheeseburger when she visits the popular chain – but adds her own chef’s twist.

She replaces the tomato sauce and mustard on the burger with Big Mac sauce and opts for a steamed bun.

But this Mc-Meal isn’t the least cheffy thing Kimberly eats.

She revealed that she loves chicken nuggets.

‘Two Peck Crispy Chicken’s nuggets and wings in plum salt’, to be precise.

She also said she likes going to Top Ryde Baker’s House for their famous Bahn Mi – suggesting people go outside peak hours to avoid the long queues the bakery has become infamous for.

Kimberly continues to win awards for her food. She was named Golden Chef of the Year in 2021 and was named in the 30 under 30 list compiled by Melbourne Food and Wine.

She also won the Pamela Bakes Award at this year’s HostPlus Awards.
