I’m a ‘petrolhead’ but sexist men underestimate my knowledge

A petrolhead OnlyFans model says “sexist” men don’t take her seriously in the car world, despite her vast knowledge of cars and a garage full of supercars.

Bonnie Locket, from Cheshire, 35, has spent more than £1 million on her obsession with her latest purchase, a Lamborghini Aventador, which cost £350,000.

The influencer, who shares her passion for fast rides on social media (@ bonnielocketdrives), recently made headlines after steaming in the backseat with her husband to celebrate the purchase.

The model, who earns between £150,000 and £250,000 a month, started the car-focused Instagram page after deciding it was a necessary tool to boost her OnlyFans page.

But despite her lifelong interest in fast vehicles, Bonnie often encounters “sexist comments” online from men who think she knows nothing.

“There are so many people saying ‘get her out of the car scene,'” the model told Nude PR.

“It’s not very nice and I’m fed up with sexist men, but I suppose that’s what you get when you go into a male-dominated niche.

‘I certainly don’t know everything about cars, but I do know a lot. It’s nice to be able to further educate myself, but also to get other people involved.

“There are trolls out there, but I try to ignore them because I know that just because I’m a woman I get comments like that.”

In the real world, Bonnie has also had biased interactions with men, but says her enthusiasm for cars wins them over more often than not.

She said: “Whenever my husband and I go in the car or go to car shows, people think it’s his car if they don’t know who I am, but he always turns around and says ‘actually it’s my car. woman’ are always shocked!

“When I was looking for my first supercar, I was not taken seriously at all. I looked around the showrooms and you could see that they thought I was pissing or dreaming.

‘Now when I walk into a showroom they know I’m serious, I bought my last four cars from George at GVE London and I’m a very loyal customer of theirs.

“I am always treated impeccably well and they always give me a great reveal, my final reveal of my G car and [Lamborghini] Twin Turbo SV Roadster is on my YouTube channel and it was a blast.’

Despite the lack of support from some men online, Bonnie insists she remains unfazed and has even devised a devious trick to use the hate comments to boost her user engagement.

She said, “I pretend to be stupid when writing captions — like saying a car is a ‘nice supra, when it’s actually an evo’, prompting men to leave comments.”

“But I think people get it, it’s obviously a joke.”

For Bonnie, her love of cars started at a young age, after her three older brothers regularly took her to auto shows and the model revealed that her parents have even owned supercars all their lives.

She said, “My brothers have always loved and modded cars.

‘One brother had a Skyline and my mother, who is now 70, has an Evo ten, another brother has a Ferrari and I had my first supercar when I was 27.

“My brothers used to take me in their cars and drive me really fast and as a kid I just absolutely loved it.

“Cars have been a big thing in our family, every time I got a new car I would go home and show them off.

“Brad, my husband, is also a petrolhead, so every year for our anniversary he takes us to the auto show, Festival of Speed.”

Being a woman also has its perks in the automotive world, as Bonnie finds herself capable of creating content that men have a hard time producing.

She said, “I don’t know if a guy could get away with what I do — like when I go up to people at auto shows and have them rev their engines and things like that.”

“It’s really fun and people at these auto shows don’t always get to hear what the car sounds like because they’re static shows.

“My TikTok really exploded this past week from when I did my first show, where I showcased my own car at Petrol Hedonism – I had probably 20 million views this week.”

“I’ve attended three auto shows in the last few weeks and I’m at auto shows most weekends, it’s going to be a great summer.

“It’s very exciting to show the world my car – it’s the only Twin Turbo SV roadster in the world, so I’m very proud to be able to show the car for everyone here in the UK.”

Over the years, the car-obsessed model has owned a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Jaguar XKR, Mercedes AMG GTS, a Ferrari California T and now owns an SV Roadster, a Lamborghini, which they Twin Turboed and an AMG G63.

But her 1400 horsepower Lamborghini is the fastest car she’s ever owned, and now Bonnie sets her sights on racing.

She said, “I would like to do drag racing and I would also like to build a drift car and start drifting.

“I did a drift day with a girl called Jolene McDonald aka Jojo, she is one of the best in the country at drifting and is really respected – that was really fun.

“I wanted to do it with a woman, there are so many people who are not very nice about women in the car scene.”

For Bonnie, showing her interest in cars online is not only a way to boost her OnlyFans, but also a new career for when she finally says goodbye to the world of spicy content.

She added, “One of the main reasons I do it is to be able to get out of OnlyFans.

Brad is super proud of me, but he can’t wait for me to quit OnlyFans just because of the comments online.

“It’s great that it brings traction to my page, but at the end of the day that’s not why I’m doing it – I’m actually doing it to get out of the game and it’s a huge passion of mine.

“It really hits him because he doesn’t understand how people can be so incredibly mean.

“I also want to have a baby and I don’t really want to be pregnant while I’m doing it.”

“Ultimately I can’t keep doing this forever and cars are something I really enjoy.”
