Sara reveals that if your cat sleeps next to you or even in the same bed with you, they trust you.
‘Sleeping puts a cat in a very vulnerable position. Cats are very concerned about their safety and will not sleep if they are unsure of their surroundings,” the pet expert explains.
‘If your cat has imprinted on you, he or she may sit next to you and snuggle close to you. This means they trust you to protect them if a predator makes a nighttime attack.
“They can also rest easy knowing that you won’t do anything terrible to them while they sleep.”
