I’m a millionaire YouTube star but Lionel Messi has outbid me for my £8.74m dream house in Miami – now I have to BUILD my own house because it’s impossible to find one I like!
Social media star Adin Ross has claimed Lionel Messi outbid him to snatch the kicking and YouTube sensation’s £8.74 million ($10.75 million) mansion from his hands.
The streamer has amassed an impressive fortune after building a social media presence, but lost the MLS’ highest-paid player with the purchase of the Miami home.
Taking to social media, Ross hinted there was no way he could compete with the World Cup winner, who was named the world’s second-highest-paid athlete by Forbes in May.
Messi is believed to have earned £107million by 2022, in an equal split between on- and off-pitch earnings during his final year at French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
His MLS contract with new side Inter Miami is virtually unmatched by his peers in the league, combining a huge payday with lucrative add-on deals with AppleTV and club sponsor Adidas.

“I was outbid on the house I wanted,” Ross said with regret as he shared details of the incident on social media. ‘I really wanted a house in Miami, so now I have to build my own house because it’s impossible to find a house I like.
“And I was outbid by a very, very famous professional athlete, who is very rich.
“It’s not about me being broke. I just couldn’t get there in time. I saw the house, but they were already talking and everything.
‘The professional athlete is Messi.’
Ross went on to suggest that it was Messi’s parents or grandparents for whom the former Barcelona prodigy had bought the house, with the intention of hosting family visits from Argentina who were keen to see the player in action at David Beckham’s club.
While Ross was discreet about which house he lost, Messi bought a property of the same value in nearby Fort Lauderdale in September.
The playmaker and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo were spotted house hunting in Boca Raton earlier this summer, but ultimately opted for the 10-bedroom estate packed with amenities.
In addition to a number of guest rooms, the house also features a spa area, a swimming pool, two docks and nine bathrooms.

The swimming pool outside the house is located close to the canals that meander through the area
Also included are an ‘entertainment lounge, executive office, VIP suite and Captain’s Suite’
Messi and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo have settled in the region since his move to Inter Miami
Messi also has an apartment in a building overlooking Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami, as well as the beach
The luxury apartment – which Messi bought in 2019 – has its own private restaurant, outdoor lounge with sea views
Ross also claimed there was a “movie theater” and “a lot of cool stuff.”
Messi already owns a £7.3 million Miami apartment in the exclusive Porsche Design Tower, which the player bought in 2019.
The 60-story tower is located between Bal Harbor and Aventura and 25 minutes from Inter Miami Stadium.
The apartment complex’s amenities include private car elevators for residents, a movie theater, golf and racing simulators and a private restaurant, as well as scenic views of Miami and the ocean beyond.
