A mechanic has popped the hoods of three of America’s most unreliable cars. He would never buy them.

The car expert regularly shares his tips and tricks on TikTok under the hand @RudyCarswhich has 189,000 followers.

In his most recent post, he warned about the models that are most likely to cause problems, sharing with another mechanic, David Long, the cars he considered the most reliable.

In the latest video, which has already been viewed more than 1.8 million times, Rudy explains why the cars he selects are not built to last.

He advised drivers to stay away from Jeep Cherokees, Nissan Rogues and Dodge Journeys.

He said, “These are the three most unreliable car models. The first is the Jeep Cherokee.

“Listen everybody, I’m not the first to say this and I won’t be the last. Jeep Cherokees are not reliable in my book.

“You may have a Jeep Cherokee and it may be a great car for you, but I’m going off the average consumer and consumer reports.”

He then criticized popular car brand Nissan for its Rogue model, after which he apologized to drivers who often drive it.

“And now, and I’m sorry to have to do this, but the Nissan Rogue. Nissan has a lot of potential to make really, really good cars,” he said.

‘I have a love-hate relationship with Nissan because they make good and bad cars. The downside is of course the transmission.

“So Nissan Rogue, you’re on the list. Sorry, but not sorry.”

The last car he advised drivers against was the Dodge Journey.

The mechanic noted that this vehicle had “possible engine failure and transmission problems.”

At the end of the clip he added, “I’m not a fan of the Dodge Journey.”
