I’m a jet-setting model and this is how I always look my best after a flight

Globetrotting model Madison Headrick has revealed her ultimate travel skincare hacks that help her achieve glowing skin despite constantly jet-setting around the world.

While the 29-year-old founder of the newly launched travel skincare brand care.e.on is known for walking the catwalk, she has also become a self-confessed skincare addict in recent years.

After seeing her skin dry out after at least two flights a week for work, Madison decided to take matters into her own hands and created her own line of products to help her achieve glowing skin no matter the destination.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, Madison revealed her ultimate travel beauty hacks and how she rejuvenates her skin after a long flight.

Get skin like a model! The skincare and beauty flying tips that give you a radiant boost

  • Never wear makeup
  • Use the En Route Essentials Kit ($38) from her care.ē.on brand
  • Always use disinfectant hand gel
  • Hydrate
  • Wear socks, a hoodie, and sweatpants
  • Don’t pick spots

Madison said the negative effects of flying are, “Dehydration, which affects overall skin health.” When my skin is dry, I’m more prone to breakouts, fine lines, and dark circles.”

She explained that to combat these effects, she makes sure to stay extremely hydrated and even use a mask while in the air.

“I always drink tons of water with electrolytes during the flight and moisturize my skin with a hydrating mask,” she told DailyMail.com

And since flying dries out your skin, making it more prone to breakouts, Madison even shared a tip for those looking to get rid of their breakouts while on a plane.

Her number one tip is to avoid pulling your face and avoid touching it.

‘Keep your hands off the face! At the airport, our hands come into contact with so many bacteria.

“Don’t put spots on the flight, leave them to your facialist when you land,” she told DailyMail.com

And while you may want to look your best as soon as you land, the model revealed that it wasn’t worth wearing makeup on the plane.

She told DailyMail.com that even a touch of glam on a flight was a “recipe for pimples.”

“Even if I come straight from a photo shoot to a flight, you’ll never see me flying with makeup on.

“The airplane cabin is very dry and dries out the skin. Pores clogged by makeup and dry skin are a recipe for a breakout,” she said.

Since she doesn’t recommend wearing glam while flying, she uses her En Route Essentials Kit ($38) from her care.ē.on brand.

‘The En Route Essentials Kit from care.ē.on has everything you need to look your best before you land. It’s packed with hydration tools to get your skin radiant and fresh!’ she said.

The kit includes a hand sanitizer, moisturizing pads, a face mist and a moisturizing mask.

She revealed that the kit was a must for traveling and labeled it as the one beauty product she could never travel without.

Madison also shared the essentials everyone should carry with them while flying.

Water to stay hydrated internally and moisturizer to stay hydrated externally, hand sanitizer, refillable water bottle, comfortable clothes (I prefer sweatpants and hoodie so my legs and hair don’t touch the seat), socks (barefoot through security going from the airport is gross),’ she told DailyMail.com.

And the model – who has competed for Prada and appeared on Calvin Klein billboards – even detailed the products you should always have in your carry-on.

She revealed that the products you should always have in your hand luggage are “medication, glasses, Aquaphor, grooming kit, sunscreen and tinted moisturizer.”

Finally, the jet-setter model revealed her favorite in-air hacks she’s picked up after flying so many times.

She told DailyMail.com, “Pack less in your carry-on. You don’t need everything you think you need… it will (literally) just burden you with lugging it around the airport. Leave the book at home, you know you’ll be watching movies. Pack only essentials!

Organize your hand luggage. I have a bad habit of throwing everything in my bag and going through customs makes me feel crazy trying to dig around to find my passport.

‘I’m so much more relaxed when everything I need is in smaller bags/pockets in my bag and I know where everything is.

‘Mobile Passport App! Not sure why more people don’t know about this trick. There is no application or application process and the line for Mobile Passport at customs is always the shortest!”

Finally, she advised frequent flyers to “bring compression stockings to wear in the cabin.”
