A ‘holiday expert’ has told how you can avoid paying for extra baggage and take your oversized bag on the plane.
Frequent traveler Chelsea claimed the trick works on low-budget airlines such as Wizz Air, Ryanair and easyJet.
She shared the clever technique on her Instagram account, showing her 215,000 followers ‘How to get an oversized bag on budget airlines.’

The pro-traveler claimed the trick also works on other low-budget airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet
She started by telling her followers to get ready for the upcoming trip, telling them to get their coats or “something big” out of their bags.
She added, “Do you have another bag? Now put this away, you don’t want to give the gate staff any reason to stop you, so follow as many other rules as possible.’
After travelers stowed their bags, she told them to go to the gate to board the plane.
She said: ‘I like to join the queue at the back, but not at the very back.
“It’s about being at a stage where they want to rush you through, but there are still people coming after you.
“You really don’t want to give them too much time to really process what’s going on with you.”
She also urged her followers to act cautiously while waiting. She said that while they had to stay out of the sight of gate staff, they should behave “as normally as possible” and try not to arouse any suspicion in themselves.
The pro-traveler told her followers to keep their passports and boarding passes handy.
When she was ready to board, she said, “Smile, be kind, and help the person do their job quickly.”
In the captions, she claimed that the trick works on low-budget airlines where you can only take a ‘small carry-on bag’ for free.
According to Wizz Air’s website, passengers are allowed to take hand luggage measuring 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm.
Similarly, Ryanair only allows hand luggage measuring 40 x 25 x 20 cm and Easy Jet has a similar allowance of 45 x 36 x 20 cm.
However, Chelsea claimed that the bag in the video exceeds this limit and that her other trusted Patagonia bags measure 53 x 35 x 27 cm.
Since the video was posted, it has received almost 47,000 likes and sparked discussion in the comments section.

Some agreed with Chelsea, claiming that airlines often overlook this somewhat broken rule.
One person wrote: ‘They literally don’t care if it’s a slightly bigger backpack, they just sit on your suitcase if you bring a suitcase and you haven’t paid for it.’
Some even added their own techniques, with one writing: ‘I also try to pretend it’s very light.’
However, others were not impressed and although this trick works for Chelsea, they claimed they would rather pay for the extra carry-on.
One person wrote: ‘Imagine if everyone did this and then there was no room for anyone’s bags in the overhead lockers?’
Another added: ‘You have no idea how much time the crew can lose solving boarding issues such as baggage size etc.’
And a third person said: ‘Or pay f****** £20 for hand luggage.’
