I’m a flight attendant and by far the most annoying thing passengers do happens before we take off

Being a flight attendant is as glamorous as many may think.

In fact, there are a few things that really annoy cabin crew members.

A seasoned attendant has revealed the most annoying thing passengers do – and it happens before the plane even takes off.

Chris Kellum, who works at a low-cost US airline, posted a video on TikTok showing his followers exactly what flyers shouldn’t do. Together with his cabin crew, he acted out a large bag that was stuffed into the locker above the seats

The luggage is way too big and can be seen dangling, with protruding wheels. The passenger then sits down, as Mr. Kellum approaches his colleague who says ‘The luggage compartment won’t close’

The revelation comes after a pilot begged passengers to make themselves less annoying during flights by not making simple mistakes

Chris Kellum, who works at a low-cost US airline, posted a video on TikTok showing his followers exactly what flyers shouldn’t do.

He decided to use his page to express his anger at passengers who brought oversized luggage and expected it to fit in the overhead lockers.

In a video titled “things that annoy flight attendants,” Mr. Kellum explains why it’s important to follow airline rules.

He then gives a very simple message: if your bag doesn’t fit, it needs to be checked.

While making the start of the flight announcement as he always does, the flight attendant tells his passengers over the loudspeaker, “If you place a larger bag in the overhead hold, we ask that you make sure it closes before you take your seat.”

A colleague, playing the role of a passenger, stuffs a large bag into the locker above the seats. It’s way too big and hangs over the edge, with protruding wheels.

He then sits down, before Mr. Kellum approaches and says, ‘The boot won’t close.

“So unfortunately it won’t fit, so we’ll have to check your bag.”

His friend, acting like an annoyed passenger, gets defensive and asks, “But I don’t get it, it fit last time.”

‘How come it didn’t fit today? What happened? Has the plane gotten smaller? What is going on?’

The revelation comes after a pilot begged passengers to make themselves less annoying during flights by not making simple mistakes.

He has used his platform on TikTok to share other ways passengers can annoy cabin crew.

In another of his videos shared on the platform, he requested that for safety — and to keep the plane clear — travelers hold on to their coats and lose items.
