I’m a doctor, this is the bizarre meal I eat for breakfast every morning and I love it

A doctor has raised eyebrows over the very unusual breakfast she eats every morning to stay healthy.

Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy MD, from the US, divided fans after enjoying a breakfast of two eggs with berry jam on a slice of cinnamon raisin toast.

The 66-year-old founder of the Center For New Medicine avoids processed ingredients and sticks to “super high-quality” foods.

“I have a late breakfast of organic eggs and a current jelly and a delicious piece of cinnamon raisin bread,” Dr. Leigh said in a resurfaced TikTok video.

Dr. Leigh said she fried the eggs and toast with butter in a pan and added the jam to ‘contrast’ the eggs.

The board-certified practitioner previously explained that she and her family focus on the quality of their food and ensuring that every ingredient they use is “well sourced, tasty and nutritious.”

The sweet and savory breakfast left many viewers confused, with one calling it ‘disgusting’ and another ‘gross’.

“Looks like a healthy hot mess to me,” one viewer wrote, and another said, “Tough pass.”

“The combination seems interesting because those flavors are more sweet than savory,” a third commented.

“I showed this to my husband (the combination of ingredients) and he said, ‘She’s more stoned than me,’” a fourth laughed.

However, not everyone was put off by the unique combination and some were keen to try it for themselves.

‘Current jelly with eggs?!?! I never thought that, but my mouth is watering!’ said a woman.

“Jelly on eggs, I’ll have to try,” a second agreed.

‘Awesome! I’ve done it with a drizzle of honey and sometimes crushed red pepper,” someone suggested.
