In the video, the OBGYN showed viewers exactly how to perfect the “surgical knot.”
The clip was titled, “How to Tie Your Shoelaces Like a Surgeon.”
First you need to tighten your sneakers.
Pull on both laces to make sure your shoes are tight.
Then loop the right lace under the left one twice.
Tighten the laces again and tie your shoes as usual by making a loop with one end of the shoelace.
Wrap the other lace around the loop and pull it together through the center hole.
Referring to the surgeon’s knot, the doctor said, “We use it on blood vessels.
“Once it’s stuck, it never comes loose. It’s great for running or general walking.”
