I’m a dating coach and here is how long it should take a man to ask you to be his girlfriend

A dating coach has revealed how long it takes for a guy you’re dating to ask you to be his girlfriend — and warns that if it takes longer, the two of you are unlikely to become a couple.

Jacob Lucas is a UK-based coach who has used his real-life methods to “help millions of people get the love life they’ve always wanted”

Not only does he work directly with clients, he also shares dating content on TikTok with his 750,000+ followers. He is also the author of the Her Dating Coach guide.

In a recent video on TikTok, he outlined a general timeline that he expects most relationships to follow, and indicated the time frame in which most men will ask a woman to be their girlfriend.

According to Jacob, after 90 – 100 days of dating, if a man hasn’t decided that he wants to be exclusively with a woman, he “99.9 percent of the time never will.” [her] his girlfriend’.

According to dating coach Jacob Lucas (pictured), if men don’t ask the women they’re dating to be their girlfriends within about 100 days, the relationship may not be worth pursuing

In the video, Jacob says, “I’m a professional dating coach. And this is how long it should be before a guy you’re dating asks you to be his girlfriend.

“And if he takes longer than what I said in this video, I guarantee you that 99.9 percent of the time he will never make you his girlfriend, so don’t waste your time with him.”

The dating expert outlines the beginning of a relationship, explaining that “the first to three dates are just him getting to know you.”

He adds that daters “shouldn’t expect too much from each other” at this stage.

Jacob continues, “So after the third date, if things are going really well, he should stop dating other people.

‘[He should] don’t make it official with you just yet, just stop dating other people and see how it goes.”

From this point after the third date, for “about a month or a half, two and a half months,” he’ll be looking to see how compatible he thinks you two are.

Jacob explains: ‘Are you having a good time together? Do you bring peace to each other’s lives? And are you going to be a great partnership as a boyfriend or girlfriend?”

According to the coach, a man will think in the near future whether he is compatible with the woman he is dating

He says, ‘Then after about two months, two and a half months, he should know that he definitely wants to be with you, if he’s a decisive, valuable man.

“Then he will ask you to be his girlfriend.”

If your interactions don’t follow this rough timeline, Jacob suggests the relationship may not be worth pursuing.

He explains, “But if it takes him more than three months to ask you to be his girlfriend, then you have to move on.

“That’s 90 to 100 days. If a man can’t decide if he wants to be with you after knowing you for so long, then that’s a very indecisive man, which is a very low value trait.
