In the video, Jacob says, “I’m a professional dating coach and here are three things you can say to get a guy to ask you out.”

He noted that “if he can’t handle these super easy hints, he’s probably not the guy for you.”

Jacob’s first suggestion is to drop a flirtatious hint to let a guy you like know you’d like to go out with him.

He explains, “Number one, if he’s casual [asking] your ‘what are you up to this week?’, I want you to say this.

Say, “I’m waiting for his hot guy to ask me out, but he’s taking forever.”

“Deliver this in a flirty way, and I’m sure he’ll take the hint and ask you out.”

His second tip involves mentioning places you’d like to go, which might give him ideas on where to invite you.

Jacob says, “Number two, when you talk to him, casually blend into the conversation somewhere you like to go.

So, for example, you could say “have you been to that restaurant?” then put the name of the restaurant and say “it’s my favorite restaurant. I’d like to go again”.

Then, if he’s smart enough, he’ll take the hint and think, “Oh, maybe I should ask her to go out to restaurants”.

The third suggestion is a bold option, where you have to be pretty explicit about wanting to date someone.

According to Jacob: ‘Third, if he keeps asking you questions, say so.

“Want to know more about me? You’re going to have to take me on more dates.”

People took to the comments section of the video to give their thoughts on being asked out — or to ask men themselves.

One of them commented on the effectiveness of the advice and said, ‘I’ve done all of the above. They work.’

Another added their own suggestion, writing, “How about this: ‘is there anywhere good food around here’ and when they make a suggestion say ‘would you like lunch?’.”

One couple said they would ask a guy they like on a date instead of waiting to be asked.

One of them said, “Or can’t I just ask him out?”

And another agreed, writing, “Or you can remember this is 2023 and ask him out…”

However, another suggested that this wouldn’t be necessary, noting, “Usually they just ask you if they’re interested.”
