Peter Helliar reflected on his time as co-host of The Project on Tuesday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity.
The 47-year-old told Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins that after 10 years he decided to leave the show to spend time with his family.
“It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever had. I quit that job because I wanted to spend more time with my family. 10 years was a good run,’ said Peter.

“Carrie is bullied all the time and there is constant speculation. Waleed [would face] commentary and racism. You know not only trolls it’s in the mainstream media.’
“I’ve been lucky because I’ve been pretty boring. married 20 years. Never been the fascination of the tabloids,” he added.
Peter announced his departure from the show in November, citing a need for more time to work on other ventures.
