Nick and Sarah live together in Liverpool, but their relationship has remained out of the public eye.
They have been dating for several years and Sarah was the first family member to arrive in Australia last week to support Nick.
She told MailOnline she has begged family and friends to vote for the soap star for his first Bushtucker trial.
'I have yet to see him do a Bushtucker Trial and have all my friends and family say, “What are we going to do?” And I keep saying, “Vote! Vote” and people say you're not supposed to vote for him, but I think we do! I think he would like it,” she said.
Nick is the longest running soap actor on Hollyoaks. He played Tony Hutchinson for 28 years and Sarah said: 'It's nice that people are seeing him play the Nick role and not just Tony. But you haven't seen it all yet.
'I've wanted him to do it for years. He's very competitive and a good team player, so that's why I've always said that of all the things he could do, I'm A Celebrity would be a good choice for him.”
'I'm really surprised I haven't seen him get hungry. He is the most positive, happy person you will ever meet, but don't mess with him and his food.
“When people go to the Trials he says, 'Don't worry if you don't get all the stars,' but I know inside he says, 'You have to get all the stars.'

This week, Sarah said she is also enjoying Nick's new status after noticing his rise in popularity on TikTok, with a number of videos being made about 'fit Nick'.
She told MailOnline: 'I've had people send me things saying Nick is a heartbreaker. That's a surprise, well not a surprise to me because I love it, but it has a whole new following.”
Although he hasn't had much airtime, Nick has caught the attention of viewers who shared their admiration for him on TikTok, prompting him to be dubbed the “strongest” of this year's show.
Clips edited on Nick's social media platform during the show reach up to 30,000 likes and people say, 'Wow, I'm in love with him.'
Sarah continued, “This girl put a survey on Instagram. One option was: 'I find Nick strangely fit' and the majority clicked on that.'
After leaving on Wednesday, Nick joined Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly to look back on his jungle journey
He grinned when he arrived to talk to the co-hosts and admitted he was happy to leave because he felt like his time on the show had come to an end.
“I commented that I agreed, but said, 'Don't be so weird please,'” she joked.
'Then she messaged me privately and probably saw that I was supporting him on Instagram and said, “Oh, are you a fan?”
