I’m A Celebrity shocks with double elimination – and one campmate appears elated the result

Adam Cooney and Nathan Henry were voted out of the jungle on Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The beloved duo, who built a close friendship while starring on the show, were the last to be voted off ahead of the grand finale.

Despite not making it to the end alongside Liz Ellis, Aesha Scott and Harry Garside, viewers on Twitter noticed that Adam seemed “overjoyed” to go home.

“This is the happiest thing we’ve seen Adam in at least a week,” one fan tweeted.

“Adam is absolutely thrilled that his time in the jungle is over,” added another.

“Look how happy Adam is haha,” a third quipped, before a fourth said, “Adam is excited.”

Some fans believed the AFL star was just happy to go home, while others said his joy made it “easier” to see him go.

“I think Adam missed home and I’m glad he found a friend in Nathan for his time in the jungle,” said one.

There is only one episode left of the current season of I’m A Celebrity Australia.

The celebrities who made it to the grand finals in the South African jungle to compete for bragging rights include netballer Liz Ellis, Below Deck’s Aesha Scott and boxer Harry Garside.
