I’m a celebrity… get me out of here! Australian viewers have threatened to boycott the Channel Ten series amid rumours the Irwins are planning to take over the show.
Ny Breaking Australia exclusively revealed on Saturday that ‘mumager’ Terri Irwin may be in contention to co-host Bindi alongside Robert next year.
Although Channel Ten has denied the rumours, fans have rallied en masse and threatened to never watch the show again if Terri, 60, makes her children the sole presenters.
“Another reason to avoid Channel 10,” wrote one disgruntled Facebook user, while someone else added: “That’s one way to ruin the show.”
Others responded with: ‘The end’ and: ‘RIP Channel 10, you have lost the thread.’
“No way, Bindi, let this be Robert’s time to shine. Don’t take this away from him,” pleaded another.
Several others said they would rather see the entire show canceled than see Julia Morris replaced by the Irwins.
“If that’s the case, cancel the whole show as far as I’m concerned. I definitely won’t be watching it,” one viewer responded.

“I’m not going to watch it, it can’t get any worse…” agreed another.
Shortly after, more angry messages came in, such as “Couldn’t stand it,” “I hope not!” and “I have to say that,” along with angry emoji reactions.
‘No thanks, I don’t like either of them. If [Bindi does take over]“People will never watch it,” one user said.
Another wrote: ‘What? They only know about animals. They are excellent on the farm they own. On TV there are real people.’

The controversy came just days after Ny Breaking Australia revealed that Bindi, 26, may be set to present Im A Celebrity Australia alongside her younger brother Robert.
20-year-old conservationist Robert made a huge impression on fans when he took on the role of co-host of I’m A Celebrity this year alongside presenter Julia Morris.
Just months after his big debut, he’s scooped two Logies nominations and now goes up against TV veteran Julia, 56, in the most popular presenter and personality category.
With his success so great, there are rumours that Terri is pushing for Bindi to join the franchise in 2025 as Robert’s co-host, although Channel 10 denies this.
Although Channel Ten has denied the rumours, fans have flocked to the show in droves threatening to never watch it again if Terri installs her children as the sole presenters
An insider told Ny Breaking Australia: “I think someone at Ten is looking at how they can guarantee I’m A Celebrity will be back for the next 10 years. That’s why there’s a chance the Irwins could take over the celebrity competition completely.”
Mum Terri, who runs Australia Zoo with her two children, would like to see Bindi join Robert as co-host to give the reality show a ‘refresh’.
“Terri would have more control over the show and this would be an exciting brand renewal,” the source continued.
“The Irwins are eager to bring their passion and positivity to the show and raise awareness for our natural world.”
“Another reason to avoid Channel 10,” wrote one disgruntled Facebook user, while someone else added: “That’s one way to ruin the show.”
The insider also claimed that Roberts’ recent appearance on The Project, where he interviewed his older sister Bindi, was a “screen test” to test their chemistry as presenters.
They shared: ‘These things aren’t a mistake. They don’t happen by accident and this was a great opportunity to see what the chemistry would be like if executives put them together in the jungle. Australia watched a live screen test.’
However, Channel 10 denied the claims and insisted there are no plans to replace Julia as Roberts co-host.
A spokesperson said: “There is no truth to this rumour. Julia Morris is synonymous with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and our viewers love her.
‘The chemistry between Robert and Julia in the jungle this year really struck a chord with the audience.
‘They’ve both been nominated for the TV Week Gold Logie, Julia’s third, and they’ve also both been nominated for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, so we know this presenting combination is a hit with the fans.’
Ny Breaking Australia has contacted representatives for the Irwins for comment.
