Maura Higgins looked almost unrecognizable in an old bikini photo that has resurfaced after her arrival in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The photo was taken before Maura, 33, found fame on Love Island in 2019 and became a breakout star of the series due to her fiery and funny personality.

Maura has undergone an image overhaul since her early reality TV days and has spoken candidly to MailOnline about her adjustments.

A photo taken eight years before her arrival on the show showed Maura, then 21 years old, looking very different from her current appearance.

Maura looked equally stunning as she showed off her toned figure in a purple bikini as she posed against a white background.

She wore a full face of makeup and her glossy brunette locks were styled in tumbling curls.

The former ring girl spoke about cosmetic work done following her appearance on the ITV2 reality dating show in 2021.

She said: ‘I had my lips done three months after coming out of Love Island and lip fillers last five to six months. I haven’t done anything since; I just let it resolve.

“But people still assume I got Botox done on my lips. People even say I had my nose done, even though I actually had no work.’

She explained, “I’ve had braces for a long time, and since my teeth shifted, they’ve actually pushed my lips out a little bit. I feel like I don’t need it. If I were to get my lips done now with my straight teeth, it just wouldn’t be a pretty sight.’

Earlier this week, Maura stripped down to her birthday suit as she celebrated her 34th birthday with a chilly jungle shower.

The reality star braved the cold water to kick off her birthday in the jungle during Monday’s episode.
