I’m A Celeb SPOILER: Gillian McKeith smuggles in contraband AGAIN

I’m A Celebrity South Africa continues with even more drama on Thursday night as the first week in camp heats up.

In scenes that subsequently air, Gillian McKeith reveals that she has once again smuggled contraband into the camp, while Myleene Klass and Andy Whyment compete for a place in the main camp in the process.

During the episode, TV personality Gillian, 63, pulls another camp mate into the long drop to reveal her secret.

A Bush Bulletin later arrives at the camp, along with their usual bag for dinner.

As Toff reads it, the celebrities are made aware that there is contraband in the camp and there are consequences.

Toff reads, “Celebrities, there is contraband in the camp. You won’t get your food until you’ve turned in all the contraband. There is an amnesty column in the Telegraaf.’

When Gillian first joined the show in 2010, she famously smuggled in salt and spices for her food in her underwear.

The next day, both camps learn that Andy and Myleene will be going head to head in the trial.

Arriving at the clearing, the two admit to Ant and Dec that they made an effort to light the fire at their Savannah Scrub camp.

While they thought it had taken 2.5 hours, Ant reveals that it had actually taken them over 4 hours and it was in fact a new I’m A Celebrity record.

The two turn their attention to the process and are placed separately in giant vuvuzelas before being covered up to their necks.

They must take turns choosing a number and answering a question ranging from questions about the planets to the names of characters in Byker Grove.

If they get it right, they earn a point and shower their opponent with critters. Get it wrong and they themselves will be showered with bugs.

One of them can then move in with the other stars in the more luxurious main camp.

It comes after Georgia Toffolo faced a tough decision at the end of Wednesday’s I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 28, had been tasked with banishing a contestant to the smaller Savannah Scrub camp after arriving as a latecomer.

But when the episode ended on a cliffhanger, viewers all said the same thing as they rushed to Twitter.

Many of them predicted that nutritionist Gillian would be sent to Myleene and Andy.

One of them wrote: ‘What an ending – cruel. Love it! Send Gillian or Janice Toff.”

Another added: “Like they are really trying to stir things up on this series considering how much fun the last few series have been #imaceleb Toff who chose face to face and we have to find out who she chooses tomorrow . Fingers crossed it’s Gillian.’

A third wrote: “I don’t know why but I just feel like #Toff is going to say someone’s name that starts with a J. So possibly Janice or Jordan.

Someone else said, “Hopefully Toff chooses Gillian #ImACeleb.”

Referring to Gillian’s unconventional arrival, more wrote: “That was a twist #ImACelebSouthAfrica #ImACeleb I wonder who Toff will choose? I would choose the one that arrived in the box @antanddec.’

Georgia first competed in the reality show in 2017 where she was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Elsewhere, I’m A Celeb fans were left in the lurch when Phil Tufnell made a hilarious mistake.

The stars received a note at the South African camp stating that Carol and Phil would take on the next chest challenge.

However, Phil hilariously misheard it for a chess challenge, leading him to think he was going to play a game of chess with Carol Vorderman.

Phil was then corrected by his campmates before admitting he was “gutted” because he is “good at chess.”

Fans were left in hysterics, with one penning on Twitter: “Phil is killing me.”

Another wrote: ‘Phil thought he was on his way to a game of chess’

A third said: ‘Honestly I thought they said chess and not chest’

Another fan commented, ‘I can’t be the only one who heard Chess challenge’

Question of Sport star Phil was crowned King of the Jungle in 2003, beating footballer Josh Fashanu and designer Linda Barker to the coveted title.

Phil tries to grab the crown for a second time as he goes up against other former winners and fan favorites.

The South African show was pre-recorded in South Africa’s Kruger National Park last year and the first episode aired on Monday.
