On Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celeb South Africa, two more stars were eliminated from the bush.
Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 62, and royal butler Paul Burrell, 64, headed home after finishing last in the Vile Vineyard trial
Myleene Klass, Fatima Whitbread, Jordan Banjo and Phil Tufnell were left with the final four as the race to become the first-ever I’m A Celebrity Legend drew to a close.
As she left, Carol said, “I loved it. It’s been so different because people have done it before, so they’re more savvy at it! We are now going back to the hotel for lobster and champagne! The trials have certainly been tougher.’
Paul added: ‘It’s been a life changing and a roller coaster journey. It will stay with me for the rest of my days!’
Goodbye: Two more stars were eliminated from the bush on Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celeb South Africa, including Carol Vorderman
About: Countdown star Carol and royal butler Paul Burrell, 64, (pictured) headed home after finishing last in the Vile Vineyard trial
The end approaches: Myleene Klass, Fatima Whitbread, Jordan Banjo and Phil Tufnell remained in the final four as the race to become the first I’m A Celebrity Legend ever came to an end
For Paul and Carol, Vile Vineyards was their second Trial of the day, and as Carol was at the start, Paul admitted, “I’m draining. I’ll have to get something out of something.’
Meanwhile, the other camp mates said it was fun to all do something together, while Myleene joked, “We’re one big happy family.”
Arriving at the trial cleanup, Ant and Dec explained the diabolical challenge they faced that day in the form of ‘Vile Vineyard’.
They faced head holes, bobbing barrels and side barrels. They had to race to retrieve the keys in each to reach the fourth zone, ‘The Fish Eye Squeezer’.
Here, using only their mouths, they had to squeeze juice out of fish eyes into a wine glass.
When they reached the required amount of liquid, the light turned green and they had to drink the contents of the glass.
The two slowest camp mates then left the camp for good.
It came after Wednesday night’s episode saw former Corrie actress Helen Flanagan, 32, and EastEnders icon Dean Gaffney, 45, part ways after finishing last in the Survival Trial.
Happy: Paul said, ‘It’s been life-changing and a roller coaster journey. It will stay with me for the rest of my days!’
Excited: As she left, Carol said, “I loved it. It’s been so different because people have done it before, so they’re better at it!”
Scary: Arriving at the trial cleanup, Ant and Dec explained the diabolical challenge they faced that day in the form of ‘Vile Vineyard’
Here we go: They faced head holes, bobbing barrels and side barrels. They had to race to retrieve the keys in each to reach the fourth zone, ‘The Fish Eye Squeezer’
The episode began as the next Survival Trial continued, where the stars were all locked in crates full of critters as they had to free themselves from the locks.
The latter two unfortunately had to leave the show as the battle to become the next I’m A Celeb Legend continued.
Helen said as she left, ‘I’ve had the time of my life. I just had the best time. I am so grateful. I knew I would be bad at the challenge.”
Dean added, “Hopefully I did better than last time. I’m definitely going home heavier than I arrived with all the picnics, that’s for sure! You know what I did. I haven’t laughed so much in years.’
Fans were once again sad about who left when they took to social media when the episode aired.
Horrid: Here, using only their mouths, they had to squeeze juice out of fish eyes into a wine glass
Gross: Once they reached the required amount of liquid, the light turned green and they had to drink the contents of the glass
One of them said, ‘Helen Flanagan may be out, but she’s the real winner of I’m A Celeb South Africa. She’s come so far since her original appearance on the show, earning the title of I’m A Celebrity legend. #ImACeleb.’
Another said: ‘All the best people have left. I’m a celebrity now, none of them are legends left there #ImACeleb.”
A third wrote, “Helen’s redemption arc was one of the few things I’m worth, I’m a celeb legend!” Also we lost dean, this ep didn’t start well #ImACeleb.”
It came after Joe Swash was eliminated from I’m A Celebrity South Africa on Tuesday night’s episode.
