Myleene Klass has revealed that she sold her iconic white bikini for £7,500 after buying it for just £40.

The former Hear’Say singer, 45, made the confession on Wednesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, before entering the jungle as a latecomer.

She said in her pre-entry interview, “I bought that white bikini for £40. After the show I sold it – for £7,500!”

Myleene set hearts racing in 2006 by wearing the white two-piece in the outdoor shower.

It comes after the pop star warned viewers not to expect the same shower scenes when she arrived at the South African camp.

Before entering camp, Myleene explained, “After I did the program, I saw the picture and I was like ‘my God, it looks glamorous, but it sure didn’t feel like it — far from it!’

“There are worse things to be known for than being really clean!” Since then I’ve had three babies and I don’t look like this now.’

She added, “I’m really proud of how strong my body has been. It’s been through a lot of trials and tribulations since then and part of the reason for doing this all star version is I want to remind myself of that.

‘I really feel like a different person, I was in my 20s when I first came to the jungle and now I’m in my 40s.

‘I think I’m going to smell the campfire and it’ll be like yesterday!

“I have so many great memories to choose from, but some of the things you don’t see on camera I liked, like at night when the jungle came alive. All you could see was a wall of green dots, green eyes, reflected by the moonlight.’

She reminisced about her time on the show and told ITV that her scariest trial was the one in a coffin of rising water.

Speaking of the rows, she added, “I like that you’re going back to basics with I’m A Celebrity.” You’re stripped naked and it’s funny to see people discussing how to cook an ostrich egg or get frustrated during the Trials.’

Myleene has become synonymous with white bikinis since her appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here in 2006.

The country’s attention was caught when the star took a shower in the jungle while wearing a tiny two-piece that showed off her incredible body.

The source adds that Myleene will reportedly be launching a Next swimwear range while the show airs so fans can recreate the iconic look.

The famous little white bikini was auctioned for charity for £7,500 and Myleene later revealed it was a last minute purchase.

She explained that she only spent £20 on the skimpy two-piece after producers told her the striped number she originally wrapped wouldn’t look good on film.

In 2020, she reflected on the swimwear that helped her become a household name on I’m A Celebrity.

She wrote, “It feels like I was in the jungle yesterday! Every time I see this picture come up I can’t believe how fate handled all of this.

“I remember one of the show’s producers looking at my bikinis at the hotel before I went to camp. One was covered in stripes. “We’ll have to stop at the stores because that’s probably going to flash on the camera.”

“I entered the store on my way to the jungle, asked the store clerk for the simplest bikini she had. Best $40 I’ve ever spent… especially since it raised so much for a good cause.’

Since her appearance, a slew of female stars have tried to recreate her iconic shower scenes while at camp.

Myleene eventually finished in second place, behind Matt Willis, and is heavily tipped to be one of the surprise latecomers in the All Stars camp, alongside Georgia Toffolo and Joe Swash.

Gillian McKeith – who was known for her dramatic fainting scene, Dean Gaffney and Andrew Whyment could also return.

They will reportedly join previously announced stars Helen Flanagan, Carol Vorderman, Amir Khan, Janice Dickinson, Paul Burrell, Jordan Banjo, Shaun Ryder, Fatima Whitbread and Phil Tufnell.
