British expat Jordana Grace (pictured), 37, recalls the worst date she had while living in Australia, prompting the man to express concerns about her ‘biological clock’

What’s it like to date in Australia? Well buckle up, this is going to be an ugly ride,” Jordana, who goes by That British Girl online, said in a TikTok video.

“I was talking to an older man at church and he said, ‘I met my wife at church 20 years ago, what’s dating like now?’

Jordana told the man, named David, that her experience so far has been “terribly squeaky.”

She said she recently took the Hell’s Gate coastal walk in Noosa on her last date and joked that the name should have been her ‘first clue’ that it was about to take a turn for the worst.

“Halfway through the walk, this guy turns to me and says, ‘Yeah, so I want kids, but I’m worried about your biological clock,'” Jordana recalls.

Jordana said she joked for the rest of the date commenting,

Jordana said she joked for the rest of the date commenting, “I keep going, ‘Oh my god, can you hear that?’ Tick tick tick, it’s my biological clock ticking away”

“Okay, I was worried I didn’t have enough sunscreen on, but keep going.”

The man reiterated his concern, saying he doesn’t want to waste Jordana’s time because he likes her but didn’t think she could “biologically” have children much longer.

“Okay, we’re the same age,” Jordana said, reenacting the conversation.

“Yes, but it’s worse for women, isn’t it?” said the man before joking, “I wonder if I can jump off that cliff.”

But Jordana “hadn’t even gotten to the worst of it,” and said she joked about the comment for the rest of the walk.

“Because I was on this date and I felt really nervous and uncomfortable and for some reason I keep saying, ‘Oh my god, do you hear that?'” she said.

“Tick tick tick, it’s my biological clock ticking away.”

Jordana’s clip was viewed more than 93,800 times and received a series of outraged comments.

“Who brings this up on a first date?!” one woman asked and a second pointed out, “Why did he date you if your age was an issue for him?”

“Biological clock” is where you could have used the Australian phrase “yes, no”. Closely followed by “See ya mate,” another joked.

“So he was expecting kids at the end of the walk?” someone laughed.

Others shared their own bad date stories, including a woman who caught her boyfriend writing in her diary for just a few months when they were supposed to try for kids.

“I had a man who told me he wanted three kids before he was 40 (he was 38) and when I told him I can’t have any more kids he said to me *oh I can fix that*,” recalls one other woman herself.

“It’s better than a man asking me if I like being told what to do and do what I’m told to do,” added a second.
