I’m 52 and have men in their 20s lusting after me. We need to talk about the younger generation’s favourite kink – and they ALL seem to have it
Before we begin, I want to set the scene.
It’s 2002 and a 30 year old me is in FHM Magazine (remember those?) and the subject of the interview is – drum roll, please – my feet.
Yes, I pose in lingerie, but the conversation is all about how my page on a then-obscure website known as ‘Wikifeet’ is bursting with zoomed-in screenshots of my feet and toes from my various TV appearances, next to a glowing 4.5 stars.
That was the early nineties and of course I found it a bit strange that some men desired my feet instead of, well, everything else that was on offer.
But fast forward twenty years, I still have men begging for pictures of my feet – and I’m 52 years old! The fetish has not only grown, but exploded.
As a happily single divorcee, my DMs are flooded with messages from younger men – some as young as 25 – and the majority of them ask about my feet.
How I wish for compliments on my smile or a friendly invitation for a date. No, all I get is… “How much for foot pictures?”
What was once a relatively rare fetish has become mainstream over the past twenty years. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me – in fact I find it quite entertaining – but I think this trend needs to be studied. It’s really mind-boggling.
Single 52-year-old Rozz Switzer is flooded with DMs on Instagram from young men with foot fetishes
Twenty years after her heyday as a boy pin-up, Rozz still has men begging for pictures of her feet. The fetish has not only grown since the early 2000s, she says, but has also exploded
Usually these foot requests come via Instagram, which, let’s face it, is basically a dating app these days.
Whenever I post an Instagram story by the pool and my feet happen to be in the shot, my post requests explode. I’m talking about hundreds of requests in one day.
Some guys start politely enough – testing the waters with “your feet are so pretty.” Others skip the charm altogether and get straight to the point with, “How much for foot pictures?”
The funny thing is that many of these messages come from private accounts. It’s like they don’t want me to know who they are. But from the ones I can see, it’s clearly a diverse bunch of guys.
The message requests come from all kinds: tradies, CEOs, city slickers, country guys, you name it. I’ve had DMs from 25 year olds all the way to 75 year olds, some married, some single, some swinging couples and even people I know!
But for me there is a clear limit: anyone who comes too close in age to my children is an immediate block and removal. My oldest is almost 20, so I’m not interested in messages from people who could pass for one of his friends.
Most of these guys aren’t shy about coming forward and usually tell it like it is. I think they’re thinking, ‘Why don’t we give it a try? After all, what’s the worst that could happen?’
Their messages are usually not subtle. “You’re hot, please show more of your sexy feet?” is a very common one. “I want to massage your feet” is another popular go-to.
Rozz says many of the men who asked for pictures of her feet are in their twenties
I admit that some requests make me laugh, but others I immediately delete them.
And let’s not pretend this is a “creepy guy” thing. It’s not. You’d be surprised who slides into my DMs – either because they’re ‘in feet’, or because they’re just attracted to older women in general. The young men surprise me the most, but there are married guys, gym junkies – men from all walks of life.
Foot fetishes are universal and certainly not age-related. I’ve learned that there’s a whole world out there that I didn’t know about until these messages started pouring in.
What is the going rate for foot photos? Well, my honest answer would be, “How long is a piece of string… and then add some to it!”
I’m going to point out that I’m not above accepting an offer if the price is right – and let me be clear: I’m only talking about shots above the knee, below the knee! I’ve gotten plenty in my time and even accepted a few when the thousands of dollars were thrown my way, and I say why not?
If someone wants to spend that much money for a quick photo of my toes, I’m not complaining. What are some innocent photos of your feet to make someone else happy? Honestly, I’m flattered that they even thought my feet were worth it.
Rozz appeared in FHM Magazine in 2002 and even then men wanted to see her feet
And I’m not alone in this. Margot Robbie was reportedly offered $500,000 for a single photo of her feet. British singer Lily Allen admitted she made more money from her feet than from her music. Clearly there’s a whole world of money-making foot fetishists out there that I wasn’t aware of until my DMs started proving otherwise.
Another observation I’ve made is that there is definitely a connection between “foot boys” and “MILF boys.” The men who pursue me, regardless of age, have the same kinks: red toe polish, anklets, toe rings, stilettos…
Is it weird? Maybe. But harmless.
The question you’re probably dying to ask is this: What’s a 52-year-old woman doing who brags about young men asking for feet pictures?
I admit I was hesitant about sharing my story. But the bottom line is that I’m a single, 52 year old working mother who still gets attention from young men. How many women can say that?
At the age when most women start to feel invisible, I’m getting more attention than ever. Even if it’s just for my feet, I’m not complaining.
