‘I’ll fly to Dortmund and bring it back’: Steven Gerrard urges England star Jude Bellingham to DECLINE Real Madrid and join Liverpool at the end of the season… as Anfield legend jokingly volunteers to help Jurgen Klopp with the transfers

  • Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has jokingly offered his services to his former club.
  • Gerrard volunteered to help bring top transfer target Jude Bellingham to Anfield
  • Gerrard even offered to ‘personally fly to Dortmund and bring Bellingham back’
  • The England midfield star is targeted by a host of European clubs.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has jokingly volunteered to be part of the club’s charm offensive to land England star Jude Bellingham.

£80m Bellingham is Jurgen Klopp’s main target in midfield this summer, but he faces a tough challenge with the Borussia Dortmund player who is also coveted by Real Madrid.

Gerrard, ranked alongside Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool’s best player, said on television ahead of yesterday’s game against Chelsea that Bellingham would be a perfect fit at Anfield and said he was prepared to travel to Germany to help.

Steven Gerrard urged Jude Bellingham to turn down offers from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Liverpool are interested in signing Bellingham with Jurgen Klopp targeting a team revamp

“Bellingham is a no-brainer (for Liverpool),” Gerrard said. I am a great fan and Liverpool is missing this number eight who arrives in the area and scores a goal. Bellingham ticks all of those boxes.

“Although Liverpool have been in the middle of the table this season, Jude is bright enough to know that he is reaching the final, has one of the best coaches in the world and develops players.

“All you have to do is send me your diary, I’ll fly to Dortmund, take you out to dinner and bring you back.”

Gerrard, sacked by Aston Villa earlier this season, has admitted missing the game. “When you get to the stadium and see the field, you have that feeling and I’ll never lose it,” he said.

“I enjoy being around my family and being back here stress-free, but I think you’ll always miss him.”
