Officers arrived at the Country View Motel in Ilbilbie, south of McKay, on Monday morning to carry out the targeted drug operation. Shots were fired around 11 a.m.

He was the only person where paramedics were present.

A Queensland Police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that investigations into the incident were ongoing.

A man was shot dead by police during a drugs raid at the Country View Motel in Ilbilbie (pictured), south of McKay, on Monday morning.

It is the fourth police shooting in the region in the past seventeen months.

Most recently, police shot and killed 56-year-old David Dowker, who police say was wielding a cane knife and approached two officers after being told to drop the knife.

Two 24-year-old men were shot dead by police in separate incidents in October and November 2022.
